Beware of Darkness
I've heard Blackthorn was the place to go in St. Louis for deep dish pizza. I was not misled! I went for dinner with my cousin and his wife. We got a 16" deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. It was phenomenal! The cheese pull on this thing was ridiculous, so cheesy! Two pieces ko'd me. The crust was perfect! Crispy on the bottom and soft and fluffy directly under the toppings. Perfect for a fork and knife. I'm a huge fan of deep dish pizza, and this will be my go to from now on! Highly recommend!

Updated x2 ordered a pizza tonight on monday at 8:20- got it at 8:54 and its BURNT!! smells burnt and tastes burnt. bottom and top charred. They told me to email and I emailed them TWICE with no answer. Do not order from here!! Acted like they would resolve the issue but never responded. If I could rate zero stars I would Update 2: the owner responded and replaced the pizza with an upgrade. i change my review to 4 stars only because the timing was late, but they fixed it. Good pizza.

I absolutely love Blackthorn's Chicago style deep dish za. It's the best pizza in Stl, in my opinion. I highly recommend getting in early as it takes roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour to prepare and cook. It's absolutely worth every minute. Bring friends if you're getting this bad boy. The 10 inch is enough for 2 to 3 people. They also have tabletop shuffleboard, which I love! Blackthorn is a staple for a reason. Plenty of street parking in the area, too!

If you like cheese then this is your spot. Their stuffed pizza is stuffed with cheese, way too much for my liking but it was worth a try. The nostalgia of the atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent.

I went to this place and got a draft beer and they charged me $136.70 that's crazy and the worst part of it was that I signed the correct receipt but they did fraud practices. Never going to support this local business ever again.
Edit: Contacted the email from the business owner and no response. Be careful and beware of this place and their fraudulent tricks on clients.

Neat bar with the most amazing Chicago style pizza you can find in STL. Sauce is a tad spicy for those with sensitive taste. Overall i will continue patron this establishment, the wait is well worth it!

We got pizza and salad from here. Sooooo good. The deep dish is an absolute great. Will visit on many occasions. Don't sleep on the salad. You will l want more.

Place has been around a while. They have a full bar and everyone that I interacted with was kind. Pizzas are of average taste and quality; and time to get them made is pretty long, even for thin crust. The place has your typical hole in the wall bar aesthetic. 4 stars mainly because everyone is always so nice here, the pizza isn’t the saving grace— although you can get a good cheese pull from them. Taste is average.

Atmosphere and service are great. Love and hate the pizza :) Fresh and flavorful ingredients but the dough is not it! Too dry and tastes like cardboard.

Always wanted to try this place, but not anymore. The chick that answered the phone was VERY UNINVITING & RUDE!!!! Well, ya just lost a could be constant customer all because of that chicks bad customer service. Do better. Bad customer service can make or break your business. It's a shame, I heard great things about this place. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Word of advice: If you encounter a new customer that isn't familiar with your menu or how things work, you should educate. Not act irritated, and if you aren't the one to answer questions, or is are having a bad day GIVE SOMEONE ELSE THE PHONE!!!
