Was in St Louis for 4 days visiting a friend. We were trying to find a nice locals type place with a good selection of cocktails and good atmosphere. Thanks to Google we stumbled upon this place. It was nice just to sit the in the corner, have a drink, listen to quality music and play chess.

The Get Down is a gathering place for like minded individuals to come together and relish in the vibes that the Grove has to offer. The employees are phenomenal, the owners are fantastic humans as well. Dog friendly on the patio, TouchTunes jukebox, games, all the fun to be had here! It has become one of my favorite spots to come and hang out no matter what day of the week! Thanks, Get Down! :)

I was staying in St. Louis less than a five minute walk from The Get Down for a bartending gig at the race track across the river. Thursday, my travel partner and I decided to go get a drink at this wonderful bar. It was so cool, man. Bee, Tony, Kai, Joe, and Lexi were all so amazing. I literately went back the following two nights until it was time to go home because the atmosphere, staff, and patrons were right in point every time. Salude The Get Down. The hidden gem of StL that's not hidden at all. I went last weekend with a group for a friend's birthday, and we all said the same thing: "I drive by this place all the time, but I've never actually stopped in." Well, next time you drive by, stop in! It's a divey old school neighborhood bar with the most delicious cocktails and friendly bartenders! The Boxcar was our group's favorite, but we also loved the You Got It, Dude and the Identity Theft is not a Joke, Gin (lol). They also have sandwiches which looked delish!
