I’m glad I finally tried this restaurant. I ordered the Hoosier Smash Burger and fries. The Hoosier comes with sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing. This place executes extremely well. The food came out hot. The bacon was crispy. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The fries were golden brown and crispy. The service we received was outstanding. The flavor of the burger and fries was delicious. Parking is a little tricky. They have a small lot behind the building and there’s street parking.

Really enjoyed the food here. We got the onion dip with the local made red hot chips, tandoori wings and beacon jam burger. All were very good. Great service! Would definitely go back!

Love all the cool taxidermy at this bar! Spicy bloody mary was great, the bacon jam burger was even better, and I would’ve even been happy with just a plate of those rosemary parmesan fries with ranch.

This place came highly recommend to me and did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere and service were all great. Server was helpful anwsering all our questions and helping us make our choices. Food came out fast. Got the drink off the monthly special menu, was super tropical and creamy, delicious. Burgers were delicious and good size portions.

Love love love! Park/nature/outdoorsy themed bar with a great inside bar along with dining room and then an awesome outside including a fire pit and s’mores!! Service is excellent as well!

The menu has not changed since we began going here years ago. The menu is appetizers. Sandwiches and entrees, sides, and a few deserts. My go to is the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The drink menu is so unique and tasty. In this pic it’s the “I’m tired of this grandpa!” And a cider on draft. You can’t go wrong with any of it.

I've been here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. Without a doubt, one of my favorite 'chill' places in STL. Outside of the general vibe of this place, The Golden Hoosier has some of the best 'comfort' style food out there. I was surprised when I learned that they also have lots of gluten free options, as the owners have celiac, so the whole menu has options to cater to gluten free needs. I've also been leaning away from eating as much red meat lately and they even had several non-meat burger patty options. I tried the black bean patty and seriously.. It was phenomenal. The beer selection is decent, though you're not going to find a mass selection like at an actual bar; but that's obviously to be expected, as this isn't that. They will have a single selection of most types of beers though: IPA, Wheat, Zwickel, etc.

TL;DR: Go here with friends for some seriously great food, good beer, and a vibe that will make for a great night out!

Whatever the owners open, we will be faithful fans. We love that they are in our neighborhood creating great food for everyone in a unique atmosphere with knowledgeable wait and bar staff. We love that we can bring our pup to the patio in the summer and finish an evening off by the fire in the fall with a nightcap, and there may still be s'mores for purchase? The gluten free menu is accessible and delicious. There's a space upstairs that we have also used for a company event and it exceeded our expectations in cost, taste, and ambience.
