The Golden Hoosier

#TueDudesEat yesterday we tried The Golden Hoiser in S Kingshighway. We all enjoyed our meals, I had the Melt.

Excellent Pinkie Promise cocktail. Everyone loved their burgers and sweet potato fries. The amazing taxidermy is from the early 1900s and is worth the challenge to find a parking space!

Everything was good, kids portions are a bit small so we had to order more not a big deal just a heads up

I honestly didn't expect much going into this place. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was top-notch. I had the bacon jam burger with fries. It was a great place to grab a quick bite or even a little date night.

I truly enjoyed my experience here today and will definitely be back. Music was on point. The waitress was super pleasant and the service was quick! The food was good!

We were seated as a party of 9 during prime dinner service hours and the food came out very quickly. The server was prompt, and the drinks stayed full.

Although it is a burger joint, my father in law and I opted for the spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich is divine. Easily the best chicken sandwich I’ve had. The fries were perfectly seasoned, and the house aioli/ranch complimented everything perfectly.

10/10 would recommend and we will for sure be coming back.

Fun place!

This place is one of those Ironic hipster dive vibe places that think they are too cool for anyone especially for apologies. My friends and I chose this location for our monthly outing. That was a big mistake. The food was mediocre, over priced, pseudo- trendy, comfort food. They mixed up all our bills, charged me twice and refused to correct this problem. They admitted they were wrong but would not void the transaction. The manager was smug and condescending, telling me my money was in purgatory, and told me I didn't know the concept of business days. He told me that mistakes happen and I had to deal with it. I never received an apology from anyone involved. I told him my husband and I will never come back. His reply was good we don't want you to come back and your are not welcome here. We were forced out with out any resolution. Don't go there. St Louis has better places with a great atmosphere and food.

Tandoori wings, burgers and beer cheese soup were great. Also had a Mule and Smoky the Bear drinks and they were also good.

Waited forever for service and drinks took so long even though we ordered sodas. Overpriced queso, buffalo dip was pretty good but still overpriced. Will not be back, but I liked that they were playing Harry Potter movies. Cute and random

Shared the spicy fried chicken sandwich with rosemary parmesan fries. It was cooked to perfection, tasted great, and they even split it for us and we each got our own serving of the fries. Service was phenomenal. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely go back.

For someone who had a gluten allergy this place has SO many gf options it's delightful. The fried chicken was great. We went on a Saturday night with a party of 6 and it took quite a while to get seated but that's cause the place was hoppin'. I'm told that on weekdays it's much mellower but on Saturday nite it's loud, fun and tasty. Good spot to hang out with friends and family

I lived up the street from this restaurant my whole childhood and never went in until this week for my birthday - besides being a smaller location (our party of 5 had a 30 minute wait on a Tuesday at 645pm) this place is incredible! Food was delicious - the Parmesan Rosemary Fries were amazing! The place has a great vibe and listening to all the waiters, I could tell everyone had great service!
