We had a reservation with a large group. The staff was so accommodating when I had made a scheduling error. Food was fantastic, everyone was happy. The menu offers something for everyone. Meat, vegetarian, mocktails... Can't wait to try the other restaurants owned by this company.

I went there on 10/27/25. It was my first time visiting. I ordered a smashburger with cheese, bacon, and crispy onions. It came with Parmesan fries. Everything was really good. We were outside on the patio. They had heaters that were hot enough that I didn't need to wear my hoodie. There's also 2 bathrooms on the patio. I will be returning.

It was a great place. My friends and I had a wait only as long as the time it took the people literally in front of us to stand up, coat up, and leave to have a seat, so like one minute.

The beautiful hostess with hair of glowing embers gave us the options of waiting for our table, have a seat at the bar & drink while waiting for our table, or the more casual having a seat at the bar while having a full dining experience there.

We chose to sit at the bar that is famous for the taxidermy and early 20th century decor while having some of the best burgers in town.

To serve a good burger isn't only up to the making of the burger though. They made a really good burger, (I ordered the Southside, no pickles). To serve a good burger means to keep drinks filled (Busch draft, $4 ea at the time) and maintain an atmosphere of burger consumption.

The atmosphere consisted of music that was familiar and danceable while at a volume conducive of conversation and seat-sitting.

They have Malört which is great for all protein-rich meals.

It was a very good experience at even more reasonable prices.

The manager was sooo nice to our large group. The food and drinks were awesome like always. Only thing is service getting drinks can sometimes be longer than expected.

Me and my family dined at The Golden Hoosier for the first time about a month ago, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere had a fun, laid-back vibe with great music and friendly staff who made us feel right at home.

The food was delicious — everything came out fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they put real care into what they serve. We especially loved how relaxed the place felt; it’s the kind of spot where you can hang out, laugh, and just enjoy good company.

We’re already planning to go back soon. Definitely a St. Louis favorite worth checking out!

The BEST place! The food is always amazing with one of the best hamburgers in the area! Monthly specials are always creative and flavorful. The service is top notch. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is a relaxed vibe in an old world bar. A welcoming place for all!
