Awesome place. Love the ambiance and decor. Came in for burgers last night and we weren't disappointed. The bar was rocking! To start, buffalo chicken dip and Fritos were a large portion for 2. Dip comes cold and was loaded with chicken. Super good. Felt like I was at a Super Bowl party- heck yeah. For entrees we got the melt with rosemary fries and the bacon jam burger with sweet potato fries. Both came out in record time, I'm not joking maybe 5-10 minutes from when we ordered. Best service ever. Both burgers were killer. Fresh, large portions, tons of flavor. The fries were both excellent as well- love the rosemary on the regular fries. The garlic aioli that the sweet potato fries come with is delicious. All around 10/10! Didn't try the drinks this time, but have heard good things so definitely will be back!

When I looked up dive bars in St. Louis, this came up so we gave it a try. Here's what we found: - This is NOT a dive bar. It's well furnished and clean. Very eclectic wall ornaments but the bar area and restaurant is beautiful. -The food is very good -Reasonably priced happy hours - Good/friendly service. We'd certainly go back and feel good about suggesting it to other Yelpers!!

Well done! The burger was great. The Bloody Mary was very good. Service was very good as well. We'll be back. Thanks!

Golden Hoosier is one of our favorite Saturday lunch spots--especially if we're able to sit outside on the campground themed back patio! (The inside decor is also great for winter months...who does love Evel Knievel Jesus and taxidermy animals!) Good selection of appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches. The bacon jam burger is my go, every time I go I say I'm going to try something else great, but I cannot tear myself away from deliciousness of the bacon jam! My friend ordered the garlic parmesan wings which I got to sample--excellent with great flavor and crispiness. The spacemutt cocktail is no longer on the menu, but they've made it for me off menu 2x now!!!

We came earlyish on a Wednesday night and were seated upstairs. The cocktail menu is so fun and the fried chicken sandwiches are *chefs kiss*. There was a singer/song writer performing and it was a bit noisy but did not diminish the positive experience with the food and drinks!

Food was so fun, camp meets St. Louis Hipster. Ambience is unpretentious, delish burgers, Parmesan Fries, yummie wings and friendly AF staff.

Parking is limited but it's a great spot to eat if your gluten free with plenty of options and quality food. The service is always good and timely. The atmosphere is good and seems to be a local popular place.

My friends and I stopped by The Golden Hoosier for post-dinner drinks on the patio. As the Old Fashioned is my favorite drink, I couldn't just order one and ended up getting all three to share between our group. Each of the Old Fashioned were unique in their own manner and just as described. I especially enjoyed the coffee version, closely followed by the banana version. As we just had dinner, we did not end up ordering any food. We did however, order a s'mores kit for $5, which comes with exactly one marshmallow, a single block of Hershey's chocolate, one graham cracker and a skewer. Don't mess up on your marshmallow (or splitting the cracker in half) because you're going to be paying $5 for another set if you do. I love the National Park theme of the bar and the outdoor fire ring with real logs added a great touch to the whole theme. There's also a cool National Park themed sign out on the patio you can take a photo at. Meanwhile, on the inside, there's plenty of taxidermy mounted on every wall. Overall, this bar offers a really chill vibe, has great drinks at reasonable prices, and I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Proof that if you use quality ingredients, you get a quality product. Definitely a must-go if you're a burger fiend like me. The atmosphere only adds to the experience, feels like you're back at summer camp. I've had both the Hoosier Burger and the Bacon Jam one, both equally great. Really creative cocktail menu as well! Also got the queso Mac and cheese, super delicious.

Enjoyed a late lunch today at Golden Hoosier! My party and I came here and got seated on their heated outdoor patio. We ordered the garlic Parmesan wings to split and these wings were fried perfectly! The sauce was flavored well and I liked that there were large shavings of Parmesan on top as opposed to powdered Parmesan cheese. To drink, I ordered a gin-earl grey tea cocktail off of their specials menu. The drink was refreshing but slightly sweeter than I would prefer. For an entree, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with rosemary fries. I couldn't wait to dig into the sandwich and you can see this as I took a bite out of the sandwich before I even had the chance to take a photo. The chicken sandwich was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fried pickles and sauce were a nice touch too. Finally the rosemary fries went well with the aioli sauce that came along with it! I come here about once every month or so and will continue to come back!

I loveeee the Golden Hoosier. This is one of my favorite places to go when I wanna get out of the house. I've gone a few times and I've had their chicken sandwich and Hoosier Burger as my meals. Both are phenomenal. I also love their sweet potato fries, which might actually be my favorite thing. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar while waiting for a table. I got a fat tabby cat which is like a moscow mule but with a bit of orange flavor. It was really good, my boyfriend was jealous i think he liked my drink better than his beer. And it came in a little tin can cup which adds to the hoosier aesthetic. My family has had dinners here, we all have a great time and enjoy the food and drinks. There are a lot of odd and interesting decors around the place. Great drinks! Love it, writing this makes me wanna go back.

Being from Indiana and even though I upgraded to being a Boilermaker long ago, we stopped by the local "Golden Hoosier." It was great! Being the middle of the week and past noon we almost had the place to ourselves. The service was great and the staff were super friendly! We ordered sandwiches (smash burgers) and each came with the Parmesan rosemary fries with garlic aioli. Ok, so I could just stop this review right now and we could discuss the fries only and as your mouth started to water you'd be in the car and driving to the airport or just straight to St. Louis, your choice. Sweet baby Jesus, these fries were beyond distracting for the rest of the day. I'm not saying I dreamt about them last night, but I'm also not saying I didn't. They took a rather standard tater of the French fried variety and worked their voodoo magic to create a simple side of which legends are made. I guess I'm saying go get some of those fries with a side of smash burger. Ok, now for the smash burgers. Our burgers, which art on buns, awesome be thy beef. For thine is the flavor, the topping and the cheese, forever and ever, smash them. I had the Melt. It's new to the menu and an instant classic (see pics). The sauce, the meaty cheese, and the onions all congealed together to smack you in the taste buds with a hallelujah of flavor! Can I get an AMEN? No? Just me? ...just you wait until you taste it. Other orders around the table see the Southside smash burger and the fried chicken sandwich. All good! I paired mine with a local American Pale Ale, the wife had a gin drink (I know you're not surprised) and my oldest ordered a soda concoction that resembled Dr. Pepper. Can't wait to get back here!

We've wanted to come here for a while. Decided to eat here for dinner because we were in the neighborhood. It was nice enough to sit outside, so we did. They have covered outdoor seating and a bar outside. The decor inside is great. I like the dark, moody vibe. We were starving and bit hangry. Both ordered burgers and fries. I also had a side of asparagus. The black bean burger was great. I like the corn salsa and southwest dressing. The asparagus was maybe my favorite. The fries were good. Well seasoned with the parmesan. The ranch was ok. I'm a ketchup girl. My boyfriend got the smash burger and loved it. He also had a glass of chardonnay. The service was fine. I wasn't clear that I wanted asparagus as a side with the burger and fries so I initially wasn't brought any fries. But everyone was friendly and professional. I want to return again and sit inside.

My daughter lives very near here so we went to lunch after a day of antiquing. The food was amazing, I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries, absolutely delicious. Cocktails were fresh and original and the outdoor seating was great. Only issue was our server, who seemed more interested in socializing with other staff members, so we gave up trying to order a 2nd round and just paid the tab. Will def come back and just hope we don't get the same server.
