Best bar in town. Live music every weekend, karaoke twice a month, open mics for comedy and poetry, lots of NA options, plus a twelve foot tall skeleton that dresses for the season. I love this bar.
The Heavy Anchor feels like my home away from home. They offer a wide variety of drinks, plenty of non-alcoholic options, and a nice selection of frozen pizzas, including vegan choices. The Anchor hosts a wide range of events—music, comedy, poetry, dance parties, and more—not to mention a great selection of board games, pinball, and foosball.
