Hi-Hat is one of those unassuming neighborhood spots that totally over-delivers.

We stopped in for cocktails and pizza, and it was the perfect combo of cozy vibes, great drinks, and seriously solid food. The espresso martinis were smooth, well-balanced, and strong—just how I like them. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in STL.

And the pizza? So good! The crust had a perfect crisp, the cheese pull was chef’s kiss, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. We got a sausage and pepperoni pie and demolished it in record time.

Hi-Hat strikes that rare balance of being chill and unfussy, while still delivering on quality and taste. Great for groups, casual nights out, or anytime you’re craving comfort food and cocktails done right.

We hosted a birthday party on the second floor and couldn’t have found a cooler spot! Patrick, the owner, was incredible from start to finish. He made sure everything we requested was taken care of — from the food and champagne to thoughtful NA beverage options for our sober guests. Every detail was perfect. The vibe was exactly what we were hoping for: a perfect blend of historic charm and funky character that looked absolutely stunning when dressed up. Highly recommend!

Great hidden gem in Soulard. (Or I'm just old and don't get out much.) Honestly found this place thru a coupon app, but I'm so glad we found it! Hubs and I split the mango jalapeño wings and the baked mac n cheese. Hands down the best mac n cheese I've ever had. Seriously. The wings were great as well. Awesome flavor and a bit of heat! Our son had a bacon cheeseburger and fries. I had a tiny bite of his burger, and it had an amazing flavor, juicy and delicious. We will be back. Can't wait to try their pizza!

One of the best espresso martinis in STL. Food was so-so the two times I’ve tried it but I’m willing to give it more chances. Maybe the pizza is the item to order!

Really wonderful neighborhood bar that’s opened up recently. Started with the espresso martini as my beverage choice. They make fresh espresso for each cocktail, and the bartender said it was their top selling drink. I can see why; it was delicious. We then split the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and the pizza. The Mac was top notch; they use a homemade Buffalo sauce that takes it to the next level. The pizza is extremely similar in texture and taste to Mellow Muhsroom, with buttery, fluffy crust that still retains a crisp undercarriage. It isn’t my personal favorite style, but my girlfriend really enjoyed it, and it was definitely fresh. Great place to do dinner!

It has a speakeasy kind I feel and totally fits in the Soulard, New Orleans vibe. Anna was our assigned bartender for the top room, where we held a retirement party. ALL of the servers are fabulous. The owner, Patrick is always around making sure everything is perfect. Check it out!
