We celebrated my cousin’s wedding there. The upstairs dining lounge was very crowded. The food selection was very decent.

Very nice high end cocktails with a view. Not the kind of place I’d go every day, but a nice treat

I dont understand how this place is owned by Brennans. Food and drink options are poor, and cocktails have almost no alcohol. Ive been here 5 times at this point. Every time i come i hope itll be better but every time i am disappointed. Service is also pretty poor. Has amazing potential considering the decor/space and location but falls flat.

Incredible venue!! The ambience was a cool vibe, the service could’ve been better, but the food was delicious. Wait, I fell to mention the drinks, yall the drinks were strong and on point, the bartenders did their thang behind the bar. Go check this spot out, you won’t be disappointed!

Love it here but as a pickle lover pls take that pickle martini off the menu it’s just not right??
If you need a cocktail, good vibes, great food, and amazing staff - come to Maryland House! Every experience has been a treat at MH. They’ve been lovely hosts to my boyfriend’s surprise birthday party, they have unreal deals for drinks and parties, and the snacks are always on point.
While I personally can’t consume spicier food and drink, I love that they have such a unique offering on their menu. My personal favorites are the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch and the Stay At Bar Mom!
Thanks for a fabulous time, every time :)
P.S. - this is the sister spot to Brennan’s which is another fabulous spot in the Central West End.

Outstanding venue! This is truly a unique drinking and dining experience in the St Louis area. Speakeasy vibes, with a rooftop patio. What more could you ask? John took outstanding care of us at the bar. We enjoyed our choices and cannot wait to return to The Maryland House.

An amazing venue with unfortunate service that really took away from hosting an event at this space. I had an event on graduation 2024, and began booking this space at the end of February. The communication in the interim from Maryland House was lackluster to say the best.
Notable events in the interim include calling the venue and being asked if my event was held on a different day, at a different location than we had booked.
The most unfortunate event occurred a week before my event. We were told that the spaces that we had spoken about since late February (a studio lounge and half a terrace) was not what would be utilized during the event.
When we were at Maryland Place during the event, it came to my understanding that another individual at my school booked the terrace a week before graduation, and this was why we were told we could not use the space as promised.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed that, over a reservation that began in February, my plans were cancelled a week before my event was supposed to occur.
The food and drinks were phenomenal, the atmosphere of the space is gorgeous.
However, venue-renter be warned, for my event was altered at last minute, with no warnings, in favor of a higher bidder.
Extremely disappointed in that side of customer service for Maryland House, it is a stark foil to their wonderful vibe, food, drinks, and space. The atmosphere cultivated at the venue is electric, and the space, as Brennan’s is as well, is gorgeous. The food was delicious, and drinks were the same.
Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for food options for gluten free, dairy free, and vegan.

I look forward to having my birthday party tomorrow in the Gallery with 50 people. I have been communicating with the Maryland House to reserve the Gallery and the hors d'oeuvres for a month now. I am excited to see how my guests will like the Gallery. I am still waiting for the Maryland House to answer some questions, but I hope they will get back to me before my event. I will update you on how my experience was! I am giving three starts as a neutral rating for now!
After the event:
The lady staff made me feel special - I give a 10/10 to the lady staff! I reserved the Gallery for my birthday party and was expected between 33 and 55 people (I know, big range).Jacq was very helpful and we had our own bar for the event. My guests liked the food and the drinks. I brought my own cake and the waiters helped us. We had a lot of fun. I have to contact the Maryland House because some of my guest were charged more than we expected. Overall, I had a pleasing experience.
Vegetarian options: Some of my friends are vegetarian so they really appreciated the cheeses, the goat cheese, and the garlic confit. My friends who did not eat charcuterie liked the shrimp and salmon!
