Kind bartenders but extremely rude people. Man wanted to fight me for no inherent reason and his girlfriend worked at the bar. If you are not from STL just stay at home, no bars worth visiting, people worth meeting, or things worth doing. This city is dangerous.
Amazing drinks, amazing bar tenders, and amazing music inside and outside!!

The Midwestern bar security staff and management team allows their employees to behave rude and speak rude to customers. Look out for this one creepy black dude who works there on security staff that stalks and follows men customers around while security management watches and allow it. This happened in late August 2025 to me. I'm not comfortable going any longer since the bad vibes are starting to increase there since no one goes to Wheelhouse bar next door any longer. There was a fight that started inside the bar, then once the fight moved outside a killing happened to some black guy in winter of January 2025 and a gun shooting that happened left the black man dead right in front of the bar at the street corner of wheelhouse bar of the entrance door about 20 ft away lying in the streets dead. The same owners owns both bars WHEELHOUSE BAR and MIDWESTERN BAR that are only about 200 feet apart. The bad energy it's starting to move next door into Midwestern bar.

Stopped by for a few drinks after the cardinal game and we played darts. The waitress brought us our ticket, in which I paid with a credit card. I didn’t leave a tip using a credit card because I was leaving cash on the table. The manager approached us asking us how our service was and if there is anything they could do to improve our service and we said stay open a little longer. She replied with a very disrespectful comment “it’s hard to stay open when people do not leave a tip and we arent making money”. We were just closing our ticket out due to that fact that our waitress told us last call. Very very disrespectful management for “assuming something whenever people weren’t even close to leaving. It was a 43 dollar tab and we left 25 tip in cash. We will never be back after how we were treated by the management.

the added gratitude seemed to be unfair considering that tips are based on service and out service was mid at best.

Really cool vibe. Good food
Great meal while there but ordered a double burger to go and got home to find a double burger with American cheese smothered in mayo. Not at all what's described on the menu. I see no way to contact them via email Or fb so decided to leave a review

Came in from out of town for a couple of Cards games. We came back to back days and had some great breakfast on day 1 and then a brisket sandwich on day 2. The bourbon selection was as good as I’ve seen. The barrel picks tasters were on point. The food was equally as good. It was only matched by the service. It’s a must if your pre-gaming for a Cards

Food wasn't as good as I was expecting. Mimosas were weak. I did like the atmosphere. We sat outside and threw bags.
From my experience so far it’s been good! DJ sometimes does play some really good songs

Went for brunch and were not disappointed. The Rose mimosa was delicious, the buffalo chicken dip is some of the best I've ever had. It was a relaxed atmosphere and not the quickest service but we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush or going anywhere. Our server did a great job and you can't beat the location. We plan on coming back next time we go to a game.
Food was nothing amazing but reasonably priced.
Service was super slow but friendly.
It was really loud and hard to have conversation
Just left from there, for Mother's Day, for the 1st time and the last time!!! Let's start with the food... Requested French Toast and the waitress gave me some type of deep fried whatever it was, UGH!!! As well as the eggs and cheese not being mixed. Next was the mimosas. Instead of having usual mixture of champagne 🍾 and orange juice, they had it separated, so you had to mix it yourself. Went to the restroom, walked out and saw on the bar, what looked like the French Toast that I wanted and one of the workers stated to me that this was for the personnel that work there , WHATEVER!!! I spend a decent amount of money at any establishment, but this place won't ever see another dime from me!!!
Don't expect to get anything on Sunday at 4. Even though it is technically open, no bar service, no food.
Food was good but a took long. None of the appetizers were available, just chips and salsa so we skipped. There was 6 of us so we were charged a convenience fee and automatically were charged a 20% tip, which we did NOT know would happen or agree with. We understand a 10-15% automatic tip for parties 6+ but not 20%—- plus a convenience fee? Our 6 party bill came to well over $100 for no appetizers and water that wasn’t even refilled. The server was nice but I don’t think the business should be doing a convenience fee and automatic tip, then request AN ADDITIONAL tip.
Reuben was 7.5/10, BLT didn’t taste like anything but bacon. Mac and cheese had mushrooms in it and was a 7/10. Fries were 8/10. Burgers were 8/10. Overall it was not worth $20+ each person.
