Got a ten piece meal for take out and OH MY GOD this is the place. Do you want Sunday dinner fried chicken? Here you go. Also, we were so sad to eat the final fried mushroom - they were amazing!

This is one of my favorite bars to go to. The food is great with decent prices, the drinks are always mixed well and the bartenders (Amanda and Jenny) are very respectful and constantly check up on you. I'll for sure be coming back to support this location.

I try to support local businesses but I will never support this establishment ever again.Went in for a chicken dinner, as I have heard that this is one of the best places in town. It is fact not one of the best.I asked to exchange the chicken breast with a thigh and what I received was a drumstick that was smaller then a 7/11 party wing.My sides only filled 1/4 of the to go cups that they came in. I am astonished at how much they charge you for so little amounts of food.I now know why they were so close to having to shut down.

I went to Crusoe's 10/16/22. My son had a football game that day. So I was really tired and wanted a good hot meal. Well, not what I got at all. My son ordered chicken and waffles. He received 2 hard chicken straps and two chunks of dough with an orange sauce drizzled all over the top. I ordered some kind of Jack Daniel's chicken breast with onions and mushrooms. No mushrooms, no effort to actually cook the chicken or my broccoli. I cut the chicken and saw how undone it was sent it back. They tried to charge me for the meal because I ate corn only. No apology, just an argument when I saw a $50 bill. I let her know no ma'am. I will not pay for piss poor food I didn't even consume. So she reduced the bill to $30 dollars, and I paid it, but this experience was horrible.

Ordered pickup fried chicken with mashed potatoes, fried corn, husband's sides were baked beans, green beans. It's a 6 min drive so food should have been hot. Not close. Grease was dripping off it but dry inside. This chicken had been sitting. The fried corn was swimming and I mean swimming in butter. Fried corn is Fried in oil. So it's already oily. The potatoes and gravy were runny and tasteless. My husband's chicken was like mine. Bake beans were dry and green beans ok. We ended up throwing almost all of it in the trash. So disappointed. Waste of hard earned money.

Crusoe's catered our wedding, over 40 yrs. ago. When word came of their possible closure, we were among the many fans who rushed to bolster their business. We were very happy when the owners decided to stay open. That is why I write with concern now. On a recent Friday evening visit, we were kept waiting at the front door, for anyone, to greet us and show us to a table. When we were finally ready to order, my daughter-in-law, ordered chili and was told they were out of chili and soup. She ordered something else. When my wife asked what the house dressing was for her salad, the waitress wasn't sure they had any. My wife ordered ranch dressing. When I ordered sides for my 1/2 chicken, I was informed that they were out of corn on the cob. I ordered onion rings and slaw...out. I finally ordered smashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were nearly soup and barely held the gravy on top. The green beans were canned, as usual, but the flavor was very off. By the very light crowd, I could only wonder if this is the way things are going? It would be a shame to lose this iconic restaurant but it would be worse if they go under leaving a "bad taste" in everyone's mouth.

It's a shame. For decades Crusoe,'s has been a great family dining restaurant. A wide variety on the menu and great attentive waitresses. We used to eat there 2 - 3 times a week. Now once on Christmas Eve and last night was literally the last supper. At no time throughout the 2 hour meal were there more than 7 or 8 tables occupied in the place. 3 waitresses eaily handled that yet we constantly had to wait for stuff at our table. The previously house Mayfair salad dressing is so watered down down and tasteless. 4 adults got their food served and the 5th adult did not receive his till everyone was half done eating, and that was the "Special". The Chicken Saint Nick was a fried chicken breast covered with mushrooms, broccoli and melted cheese. Accompanied with a baked potato and salad. No mushrooms on the special however the waitress did offer to have some mushrooms griiled if I wanted. I passed. 3 people ordered tater tots as a side and the waitress served 7 or 8 tots on each plate, informing us that they ran out but I can bring you waffle fries. The cherry on everything was when one in our group wanted to use accumulated points on their frequent patron card to pay their bill we were informed the owner suspended the program that morning. No notice, no signage it was ceasing. Stick a fork in the original Crusoes, it's done.
