For the past several years the Shack on College and Metcalf has been a favorite on our breakfast ride rotation. We love being able to enjoy breakfast outside. Today we arrived only to be told that their outdoor seating was closed. Tables and chairs were on the patio, but they would not seat us outside. Disappointed, but determined to enjoy our outdoor breakfast, we rode down the road to Big Biscuit where they happily served us breakfast on their patio. When your restaurant has an outdoor patio, it seems like a silly business decision to not use it.
We went out for brunch and I found it cozy. I love the decor because it makes it more personal. The food and the service was great.

Fun breakfast spot, the peanut butter smoothie stole the show though it was the perfect consistency and so tasty.

We pretty much always have a pleasant and good experience here. Food is always great and spot on, and we love the white trash screwdriver, with a shot of grenadine on the side!

This location has fantstic service, fun atmosphere, and immaculate food. Will make the drive for this place again. Olivia M was by far the best server ive had at a restaurant in a while.

It was our first time at this establishment and we plan to come again next time we are in town. The food was delicious and varied and not overly pricey. We had a large group (family) and the restaurant was a little busy, so requests for refills took a bit to get. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. Good place to eat!

Tried The Shack and here’s the breakdown: the mimosa tasted like it was mixed during a fire drill — not great. 🥂 The service was fast, but in that “assembly line / get ’em in, get ’em out” kind of way. Efficient, sure, but definitely robotic.
The food though? Solid. Everything came out hot and hit the spot. 🍳 The atmosphere is what really makes this place — quirky, loud, and unique in a way that feels like breakfast meets a college bar.
Overall, not perfect, but worth a visit. Just maybe skip the mimosa unless you like your orange juice with trust issues. 😂

I love having brunch at The Shack.
Smoke'em if you got'em skillet is of my favorites. And excellent adult beverages, especially the Bloody Mary.

Waited 30 minutes at the Valley Park location on Friday and never got seated although other people kept getting seated. We had a group of 8, but they never figured out that if they kept seating others, they’d never get us seated. They were clueless as to how to get us seated. We left and went somewhere else.
