This place came very highly recommended. We were excited by the beer selection.

We were traveling through town and had to wait until 1 for them to open. Usually most places that's not a big deal and it's pretty empty then. But there was a long line just to get in. When the doors opened the line was too the door and the bar was full. And only one person serving everyone. So it took us almost an hour to get a drink. Several people behind us gave up and left. We strongly considered it.

When I finally got to order I don't understand why most of their beers in bottles can't be taken to go. The To-Go selection is pretty limited compayto the amount of bottles they have available.

Another annoyance was they only have one single bathroom. So in addition to waiting in line for an hour to order a drink ee also had to wait in line just to use the BR.

The beer was good but wow they need to improve their service.

TEN STARS OUT OF FIVE.

The absolute gem of breweries in St. Louis, and so far the entire Midwest. Everything on the menu is incredibly desirable. The draft menu is split into what temperature the cellared beers are kept. Just, perfection, right? Pages upon pages of incredible, available beers on draft, bottle, and can. Plus, many more pages of whiskey, too. Belgian vibes for the atmosphere. This may be the most uniquely and immaculately conceived and received brewery. Rare find.

Side Project Cellar from the outside is extremely unassuming, but as soon as the threshold is crossed it opens to a space with plenty of both table and bar seating. The lights are dimmed, but not so much as to strain the eyes. The beer menu is nothing short of comprehensive, with styles that run just about every style possible. It's quite stunning the amount of house brews they manage to not only create, but also keep in stock.

The lack of snacks at a bar is incomprehensible and really shows how we in America just don't get hospitality. IThis is the only bar I've ever been to in over 54 countries that doesn't offer at least something to snack on. There are only two food items on offer. The charcuterie board was not available and who eats brined olives with beer? I get focus on the wide range of beers, etc. offer, but the ownership really needs to rethink the concept and add a small, but decent selection of bar snacks to complement the experience. We won't be going back.

Amazing bar serving some of the best beers in the world. They are expensive, but rare and made by some of the most talented brewers and blenders in the business. The staff is friendly and helpful, and while it can get raucous and busy, you may make some friends and will enjoy your time here.

Not really here for food and didn't try the snacks, we went for the heavy hitters available currently, mjk/bbt2020/derivation 17. And boy what a treat these brought us. Great service from the people working here, friendly and really helping out with any questions we had.
Likely to be coming back.

No real food but they do have a meat and cheese board and an olive bowl. Great beers and cocktails.
