We were told by someone that this place had the best ribs they had ever eaten. Well they must've caught it on a good day. We ordered the 1/2 Ribs, 1/4lb Brisket, Fries, and Pit Beans. After waiting for over an hour and still no food, we asked a dining room attendant (they do not take your order) for the status of our food. She seemed shock that we'd been waiting that long. She went back into the kitchen and returned to say that it would be out shortly. About 5 minutes later the food was served. The Fries were fresh out of the frier, and the rest appeared to be right out of the microwave. The ribs were barely room temperature, over cooked, dry and tough. I can normally eat a whole slab of ribs with no problem, but after two ribs I'd had all that I wanted to eat. A man that we assumed was a manager came out and said they'd give us a 1/2lb of Pulled Pork to go, for the wait. I have served as a judge at multiple Bar-B-Que competitions, and these were some of the worst ribs I'd eaten. Presentation = Good Temperature = Bad Cook = Over Cooked & Dry. We will not return! to waste another $40.

I could smell this place a block away, and I knew we were going to have a good time. Me and my partner just moved to the Bevo area and were beat after unloading a moving truck for hours on end, and theres no better way to do that with some good barbecue. Simple seat yourself order at the bar situation, and we were treated with getting to see them take the smoked brisket in from the smokers. Food was top notch and the service was great. It filled up pretty quickly on a Saturday night, so expect a wait if you're going on the weekend. But that wait is well worth it.

Moved to the area a few months ago and hadn’t had a chance to try the place until last night and it was fantastic. Live music was great, food was fantastic, and although it’s only half table service, the entire staff was awesome. The whole place is cozy and fun and we will certainly be back. The owner was even there to see how things were for us.

Just had lunch in their backyard space, which is lovely. We were a bigger group, but there was plenty of space for us. The food is fantastic - highly recommend the Reuben, which has thick slices of their smoked corned beef. Nice beer selection. Also loved the corn ribs appetizer and the Brussels sprouts side with my sandwich.

Not sure how this place doesn’t have a perfect 5.0. Been a couple times as it’s one of the closer spots to my home. Unreal food and a real hidden gem of south city.
Very good food. The wings and fries were top tier. All their food is high quality and delicious, even their basic items are done with care. Ive had a few sandwiches from the menu too, everything hits. Their sauce is also very good. I'll be back. Also their cocktails were very good too, i was not expecting this. Bartenders are always friendly. Awesome neighborhood spot

Another update after years of regular visits:Still one of my top 10. I can't really blame them for the increased prices, or running out of my favorites, considering that the cost of everything, especially food, has soared over the past 3+ years.Vegetarian options: Nope. Of course, you can always get a salad. Their veggie sides are delish, definitely not vegan tho.Parking: I enjoy the live music outside very much, so long as it's not too windy or cold.Kid-friendliness: Outside is a great place to give the littles some freedom while the adults have an age-appropriate beverage.
Such a wonderful patio when the weather is nice! This Friday night had a wonderful folksy band that really added to the vibe. My friend and I had dinner (their pulled pork is DIVINE, along with their spicy BBQ sauce) and a few drinks. You order food at the bar, and they give you a number for your table. The Hibiscus Gold Rush was both of our favorites - it had such a wonderful mix of flavors! Strong, too. The bartenders were friendly and there were servers milling about outside making sure you had everything you needed.

Stopped in here with my bestie and son in law for lunch as it was a couple blocks away from my home. I'm pretty picky about my BBQ and this did not disappoint. The meat was moist without being greasy and the sauce was quite tasty. This will be a regular stop for me. Plan on visiting for the summer outdoor events and music. A great neighborhood spot!

Tasty food. To be honest, the live band playing some down-home country music outside in the pavilion really made this place for us. Reminded me of the old days at my grandma's campground. The crowd was pleasant. The servers were great. Drinks were a little too expensive for my taste. But I will say, That pulled pork sandwich... perfecto! I would have stayed much longer if i didn't have other plans.
