I can’t stop thinking about YOU!
My husband and I visited our friends in St. Louis in July. We’re from Michigan & they said that this was the place we HAD to go to no negotiations. I’m a pasta girl so I said no problem! This place is absolutely amazing. I had a special rigatoni with shrimp and oh my goodness. Chefs kisss doesn’t define it. The food was so delightful and definitely Italian authentic! Homemade noodles, sauce from scratch, delicious wine, high quality meats….the list goes on.
The only problem now is I’m 1,000 miles away with no hope of ever eating it again.
Trattoria Marcella…I love you! I’ve been thinking about you! And I wish I could go BACK! Highly recommend. It’s one of those places that is excellent from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. The manager is delightful as well! Don’t think about it! Just do it!!!

We had an outstanding experience last night. Our waiter, Vince was fantastic. He was spot on, besides multiple large tables and a few smaller tables, Vince did not miss a beat with anyone. The food was great. If you want a great experience ask for Vince.

We came here twice for our birthdays and anniversary. Not once did our server acknowledge we were celebrating our special occasion here. We didn't expect anything but a pleasant wish!!! Your restaurant is special but sometimes you miss the little things as good customer service.

We got a seat in the bar area which has a different atmosphere from the dining room but we were just happy to get a table. Hubby's dinner was fall off the bone good. I had lobster risotto which was amazing. We finished the night off with tiramisu and caramel gelato. The gelato was good but the tiramisu has a chocolate mousse type later towards the top that is too die for! Highly recommend.
The food is excellent, but some items (like the toasted ravioli) are not nearly as good as several other Italian restaurants on The Hill. They were a little heavy and slightly overcooked. They were not bad, just not as good as the waitress embellished them. My lasagna was excellent, as was my Wife's Chicken Rosoto (but was a little light on the chicken.) We have eaten here several years ago and thought everything was great. We will return to try other dishes that we saw being delivered to other tables. They looked great and the other customers confirmed that they were. (I asked them as we left.)
