Waitress was rude and made the experience awkward

We got a seat in the bar area which has a different atmosphere from the dining room but we were just happy to get a table. Hubby's dinner was fall off the bone good. I had lobster risotto which was amazing. We finished the night off with tiramisu and caramel gelato. The gelato was good but the tiramisu has a chocolate mousse type later towards the top that is too die for! Highly recommend.

The food is excellent, but some items (like the toasted ravioli) are not nearly as good as several other Italian restaurants on The Hill. They were a little heavy and slightly overcooked. They were not bad, just not as good as the waitress embellished them. My lasagna was excellent, as was my Wife's Chicken Rosoto (but was a little light on the chicken.)
We have eaten here several years ago and thought everything was great.
We will return to try other dishes that we saw being delivered to other tables. They looked great and the other customers confirmed that they were. (I asked them as we left.)

In an area known for Italian food, trattoria Marcella is among the best. The food is very good, and the service is top notch!

First time there. Would highly recommend. As an ex restaurant owner I don't give out many 5 stars. Food, service and atmosphere all tremendous. Good thing I don't live nearby.

Delicious food, great service, portion size was appropriate, very good wine selection, wonderful atmosphere, and on the pricy side. Highly recommended.

This was a special dinner celebrating my wife's birthday and a pre dinner to our trip to the Fabulous Fox to see Hamilton. Our dinner was delicious. The chef was able to accommodate my wife's garlic allergy. This is awesome, and that makes this a very enjoyable experience. I would like to thank Faith, our server, who was very courteous and professional, made this experience over the top. My compliments to Faith our server, keep up the good work.

Ordered: stuffed artichoke, toasted ravioli, chicken spiedini, side of spaghetti with white sauce, tiramisu and wine

Food: the complimentary bread was soft and simple. The garlish paste served with it was grainy and overpowering, without any complementary notes. The artichoke was dry and was overloaded with stuffing that tasted bland. The toasted ravioli felt hard and was dry inside. The sauce for it was light and good. The spaghetti tasted like boxed noodles and the sauce tasted mediocre. The stuffed chicken spiedini was dry and the skin tough. The stuffing was flavorful but had no taste of prosciutto. The mashed potatoes also tasted dry and grainy, as if they were made without butter. The asparagus was tender and delicious, but the order only came with two pieces of asparagus.
The tiramisu was exceptional. It was moist, well balanced, and tasted home made.

Service: we had a 7:45 reservation, arrived 5 minutes early and weren't seated until after 8. The waitress was curt and not hospitable, but she wasn't unhappy- just rushed. The busser was wonderful all evening, and prompt with water refills and taking away plates between courses.
The waitress took our appetizer orders and entree orders then asked if we wanted a side salad after we ordered our entrees and I asked if that was included which she let us know it was not. It felt sneaky for her to offer us side salads without mentioning there was an additional charge for it.
It took almost 15 minutes to receive the check post dinner which I felt was nice and we were not rushed to leave.

It was mediocre service and the food was a big let down so we won't be going back since the quality doesn't match the price.

Fish and risotto did not have much flavor. Both my caesar salad and friends specialty salad were good. Tiramasu was good as well but not the best I’ve had in thr area. Server seemed rushed and was short when communicating with us (in contrast to the server for the table behind us who eas extremely friendly, made additional offerings and engaged with them).

We split the Mista salad, the lasagna and tiramisu for dessert. All was excellent. Service was fast and they split the salad and lasagna for us. Even split, it was a large portion. Best lasagna I have had in a long time. This was our first time here and we are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
