This spot does sell eggs and cheese. Order via QR code Overall I thought this spot was very mid. The potatoes were under seasoned and the fried chicken sandwich just ok.

The vibe was great, with music that evoked the 80s but was clearly from the present, and the space is beautifully appointed with clever art. The food was astonishing, perhaps the only vegan fish substitute I've ever had that matched the texture and consistency of real fish, and the flavors in every dish are spectacular (the pasta was my favorite). The only drawback on the menu is that all of the beer was in the bitter or sour range and the only decent sounding one was out of stock (hoping the world gets over the psychopathic obsession with IPA and sours!).
Our waitress, however, was awful, bearing an almost autistic version of the Gen Z stare, unable to recognize when we needed more time to browse the menu--she came within seconds, WAY too soon--and then standing near the bathrooms staring into space for several minutes before she realized we had made our choices and put the menus down.

Another issue is that they are seemingly paperless. We had to scan a QR code at the table to see the menu and this is very classist and biased against those in lower income brackets (or people who simply leave their phones home!). There also didn't seem to be any methods of payment accepted except for digital. It's truly bad form to NOT have actual physical menus--it would be MUCH cheaper--and to expect payment via electronic transfer only.

Despite the 4 very serious flaws (bad staff, no good beer, no menus, electronic payment required), this is still our second favorite dining experience in St. Louis. They just need to clean up their elitist and class based issues and everything will be perfect!

The food here is amazing - we had a risotto dish and a mushroom dish and both were SO GOOD. Small, quiet place with good service and great food. A little expensive, but definitely worth it.

I love treehouse. Everything i have had up until this point has been fire. I purchased the gouda melt before and tasted it and it was so damn good but then i remembered that it was beyond meat and i wasnt eating beyond or impossible cuz its too processed and makes my stomach hurt but the few bites i took didnt but i still let my husband have mine along with his. Then later i found out beyond changed up some of their ingredients so im like im getting this meal again just for me to spend so much esp using doordash to have it delivered just to be beyond disappointed. The gouda cheese and carmelized onions good but the burger is sooo bland. I taste absolutely no seasoning at all. Not even salt and pepper. They are depending too much on the gouda and onions to make it taste good. I thought there would be consistency but its not. I wish i had gotten my fav from them now, the krab Rangoon. I am in disbelief of this gouda melt. Nothing like what I tasted before. The potatoes not even good and they were so fire last time. Its too high for this man. Im pissed. Hopefull when im able and can geg krab rangoon and a carrot cake it will redeem this bad experience but i wont order this again.

overall it was a good experience! the cuban was honestly really good-and it surpassed my expectations! the atmosphere was really chill, and the people were nice. we got our ticket about halfway through eating, and i later asked for a ranch and they reprinted the ticket and charged us an extra $1.50…. lol. also, i ordered the cuban and my fiancé ordered the cinnamon roll and we both got water. we ended up paying over $30 for the meal.

I'm sorry but two things..
I tried going here before but nobody acknowledged me. I said hello throughout the entire room and the cooks didn't even look up. I stood around for a second and just went to basil next door.
I came in today and I was greeted. I now understand that awkward silence in the restaurant from last time. It's a qr code system. I'm sorry. I worked at two restaurants that used them before as a server. I find it to be more annoying and disruptive of the normal flow of serving.
But another issue is price. People have an idea it's expensive to go vegetarian or vegan. I just recently went vegetarian for economic reasons. Really my theory comes down to the market of exclusivity when it comes to vegitarian options. Morning star sausages are 12 bucks for 4 ounces but falafel mix that doesn't directly market itself as vegitarian is 4 bucks a pound. Capitalism.
I ordered a seitan Cuban sandwich. It was 20 bucks.
Seitan is just washed flour 😭
I was disappointed too because it was a missed opertunity making it into a loaf and not giving it fibers. It wasn't bad. I wouldn't want to spend 20 dollars on it though

Due to restaurant being busy, Doordash and Grubhub orders are usually ready about 10 minutes after I arrive to pick up and deliver.

This one girl always treats me like trash. I stopped going and have made my own food and it’s better and no low budget attitude and no more rubbery vegan meats. So happy I stopped giving money to these jerks. Garbage attitudes and food is mid.

I am recently gluten and dairy free, so finding this place was great. I’m still adjusting to the differences in flavors and texture that my new dietary restrictions and their substitutes have, but this food exceeded my expectations. I had the fried plantains and the super salad and both were fantastic. I didn’t even miss gluten or dairy at this meal. I will definitely return!
