Food was fine. Nothing special. The salad tasted like chemicals and I was unable to eat it. We came with our 3 kids and only after we sat down and ordered drinks, the waiter then told us there are no high chairs or kids menus. I had a 3 year old and 11 month old with me. The hostess should have told us this information when we walked in. Breweries are more welcoming to kids than this place. We will not be back.

We were highly disappointed. We thought if we arrived at opening it would be a great experience…. Wrong. When the man unlocked the doors, he pushed the door open but let it go in the face of the couple in front of us. The lady commented about how rude it was. Then when we entered, the same man pushed his way in front of me to unlock another door. There was no word uttered from him, not an excuse me or sorry. The hostess did not even say hi or how many, just herded us to a table and walked off. It took 10 minutes for our waitress, Maggie M., to take our drink orders and then she walked off. When she dropped off our drinks, she didn’t ask if we were ready to order, she just walked away. When she came back a few minutes later she was off in la la land. When our food arrived the steak was tough, but she never asked how it was or checked in. Luckily there was a gentleman who was walking around who made sure our drinks were full and helped us. When the waitress came back to ask if we wanted dessert we asked for a container for our appetizer. The appetizer was the best part of the meal! She said she would be right back with it. After about 10 minutes, and no waitress, I asked the gentleman who was refreshing our drinks for a container. He turned around and grabbed one for us. It took less than 30 seconds because they were right in the doorway! When the waitress finally came back with our check we paid and left. When leaving the hostess was sitting in the doorway blocking an unused dining area on her phone. She never once looked up or acknowledged us. Safe to say, that was our first and last time going to Tuckers Place!

We were staying in the neighborhood and decided to try Tuckers. Our service and drinks were good, but our meals were disappointing. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, but the quality of meat is lacking. The grilled shrimp was over seasoned. The potatoes were great!
Other patrons seemed to enjoy their entrees, so we may have just had bad luck.

I'll start with the positives: the atmosphere and neighborhood are excellent. However, the experience went downhill from there.
The service was disappointing, both slow and unprofessional. Our server failed to mention any daily specials, which I would have been interested in had I known they were available when ordering.
Unfortunately, the food quality didn't redeem the experience. My appetizer arrived overcooked, and my steak was tough and chewy. Most frustrating was that it came smothered in BBQ sauce without any mention on the menu or warning from the server. This completely masked the natural flavor of the meat and turned what should have been a proper steak into something resembling mediocre barbecue. While some diners may enjoy this preparation, I found it disappointing. A quality steak should stand on its own merits without needing to be drowned in sauce.
Overall, the poor service and food execution overshadowed the pleasant setting.
