Showed up at 9pm and was immediately seated…. Restaurant was not crowded at all. Sat there for almost 15 minutes with no servers stopping by our table. Table next to us had a couple arrive about 5 mins after we did and they were waited on immediately. After 15 mins with no waiters or waitresses stopping by we just got up and left. It’s a shame too, food was always great at Tuckers and we always came by several times a month.

Great service and dinner as well, forgot to photo it but, the choice was between 8oz filet or double the size for a few dollars more. Very good and cooked as expected too. Had a good business meeting discussion and all was good.

Today is my friend’s Birthday she chose this place pretty crowded at 12 pm on a Saturday, no where to sit while waiting on a table even though it was plenty of tables available only a party of 2, my friend ask if they had some where we can sit until a table became available, she said at the bar, we went to sit at the bar until the seats became available, the lady running the bar asked if we wanted something to drink and we stated we a were just waiting for a table she looked and stated what do you want to drink again as if you do not sit here without ordering something, so we order coke sodas for $7 together. Finally the lady that was doing the seating yelled across the restaurant and stated your table is ready pay for your drinks at the bar, I was shocked they are running things that way, they need to found away to, put the tickets together, I placed my order and it came with a drink I had to tell the waiter I paid for my drinks at so how do you take care of this? The African American man did a great job, make sure drinks kept flowing and bringing meals out we left him a tip as well, I did not like the chicken strips they tasted processed I ate one and bit off one and my friend did not like her stake as well

Tucker’s Place South – Great Food, Even Better Service!

I had a great experience dining at Tucker’s Place South! My server, Olivia, was truly a highlight of the evening. Funny enough, my daughter’s name is also Olivia, so we instantly made a sweet little connection. From start to finish, she made sure we were taken care of without us ever needing to ask for much—attentive, warm, and full of hospitality. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests.

I ordered the ribeye steak with their signature Tucker’s Glaze (chef’s kiss 👨‍🍳💋), a loaded baked potato, and a Caesar salad. I also added the grilled shrimp. Everything was cooked beautifully and came out flavorful and filling—I definitely had enough to bring home. The food overall was really good and definitely worth the visit.

Now, the only reason I didn’t give this a full five stars is because of the atmosphere. It was very loud, and the seating felt a little too close for comfort. It was busy (which is a good sign!), but the layout made it feel a bit cramped. Also worth noting—they do not seat incomplete parties, so be sure everyone arrives together if you’re dining as a group.

All in all, Tucker’s Place South delivered solid food and exceptional service. I’d definitely go back—and I’ll be asking for Olivia again!

Giving two stars. I eat here at least once a week. The manager floats around bar area talking to everyone except the table where a black man and his wife were sitting. I noticed that. Not cool.

Went there last night for my birthday dinner with BF and it was the best steak I've had since the last time I ate there! I was given a piece of cake and ice cream for my celebration as well. I wish I could remember the waiters name but he was wonderful as well. A+++

Been going to Tuckers for many years. A few weeks ago i ordered my normal - New York strip steak. It was awful - the cut of meat was nothing i have ever seen and it was almost what i would call raw. I ordered medium. The server was a bit argumentative in a condescending way that this is how it comes. I think i need to stop going to the South County Tuckers.

Our steak had no bit of seasoning on it. No salt, pepper, or anything. We were served warmed beef on a plate and paid $100…. That was disappointing. Server was nice but off. His answer was “well, I’m here” when asked how he was doing during introductions so that was off putting.

First time at Tuckers and let’s just say, me and my fiance are thoroughly impressed. The steaks were perfect, and I mean exactly what we asked for to a tee. Taz is an amazing cook, he did such a great job making out food and was so kind when we spoke with him. Our waitress Carol was so so kind and funny. Such sweet people here that really make the business stand out.

I have been going to Tuckers for the last 3 years or so with my wife and family. It is always a treat getting to enjoy a fantastic steak every time. The servers are always ontop of drinks, additional items and making sure you're satisfaction in their establishment is high.
