Made me guarantee reservation with credit card and then we got there and the restaurant was EMPTY on a Saturday night. Like one other table the whole time we were there. Very odd vibe. Waiter was kind and attentive but very strange atmosphere. In the lobby of a hotel.
Very quiet as it was a Saturday night. Looks like a place that is likely more crowded during the business week. Food and service was excellent.
Food was good and service was ok/good. It was a slow night and should have been able to do better but they were very distracted
Lovely room, completely empty, but for us. Skeleton serving crew, because we were the only diners. They did their best. Food was average, and acceptable. We were disappointed that this was such a solitary experience. How do they stay in business? This is the second solitary downtown dining situation we have had in the last week.
Music was too loud. Food was amazing. Waiter was great. Not a lot of places to eat downtown, so this place was an unexpected and delightful surprise
Came here for my sister’s birthday and was super impressed. Staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Ambiance was beautiful! Decor too! Menus were really cool & updated. Limited items but done right ! Jasen our server was very friendly; we will definitely be returning.

Per previous reviews, Union 30 can be hit or miss. I've had both experiences here...really good food/service, and not so good food/service. Nothing terrible, just that I hoped for better. It's a beautiful hotel and restaurant, regardless, and I appreciate their presence as a downtown neighbor.
BTW, my lunch today was great.

Perfect spot to meet before a downtown St Louis event! It helped that we were staying in the hotel Union 30 is a part of. 😉
We waited nearly two hours for substandard food that wasn't even hot. I was so seduced by the vegan options listed on their Google menu that I completely neglected to read the reviews but all the bad ones are true. The menu on Google was not what was offered when we arrived and in the entire two hours we were there literally only one other couple showed up to eat. And then they had the nerve to be expensive. $16 for 5 barely filled ravioli! Never again. Do not go here!
Vegetarian options: There is only one option and it's substandard. Don't bother!

The folks working here are delightful but the the reviews and photos and menu are all 4 years old and outdated to the detriment of the facility and Marriot. Extremely limited menu. Pretzels were so stale and hard. French onion soup arrived without the gruyere. They were out and didn't mention it. Nope not Famous Barr! Upshot. Wonderful wine and cocktail offerings so drink your dinner.

Restaurant is inside a hotel. The restaurant itself is nice. The staff was very good. The menu is a little thin, especially for foodies. On a Friday nite at 7pm, we were one of only 3 tables in use in the whole place. The problem is the surrounding downtown St Louis area has become somewhat desolate. Too many boarded up buildings laced with graffiti. If the area is not a concern for you, the restaurant is worth a try.
So disappointed-prime rib was tough and not medium ( no one got correct temperature on steaks). Side was asparagus and got 2 spears.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food, although somewhat limited selection (only black coffee for breakfast, no cappuccinos or lattes).
Food was good, however, service was extremely slow and they had difficulty handling a group of 8 people at once.
