Everything is good about this place the people food beer
Came to this establishment after a Celebration Of Life for a family member. The staff was awful. Rude, dismissive, arrogant. One of our family members is in a wheelchair and the staff was so terribly bothered to have to use the lift. Getting anyone to wait on us at the bar was a joke. I mean seriously so embarrassing to take our family here.
Great atmosphere some of the best beers in Saint Louis
The beer was great and the building is really cool! We came there planning to eat dinner though and the kitchen was closed for remodeling. There was nothing on our website stating this so we left disappointed. Definitely need to mention on your website if the menu you have posted won't be available.
This place is humongous with two places to order food and alcohol. This place has a lot of benches and is a place I would suggest if you have a party of 1-20 people; the food was great, they have TVs to entertain, and beverages to try. It's definitely a stop to make with friends when there is time for a drink.
Dead rats and maggots in the kitchen I wouldn’t prefer going here if u value your health
Love the outdoor patio. We always sit here when we come. The German food is great, but I love that they recently partnered with Sugarfire to also offer quality BBQ. The beer is genuinely German (I’ve spent a lot of time in Germany, so I can confirm 😅). Good vibes only here
We were invited to my cousin’s wedding’s goodbye lunch. There were plenty of large tables available. Food was delicious, though there were some items not available.
We came to this brewery after seeing on facebook that there was an Astronomy event here.
The building is large, industrial, and very welcoming. The front entrance has some cool arcade games and as you enter you can order some food or go straight to one of the biggest bars I have ever seen.
Tap selection was great as were the beers themselves!
I was shocked for a Saturday night at how empty it was from 8PM and on.
Warehouse chic type vibe in what always to be a fun neighborhood... Lots of indoor space, communal tables, massive bar with seating, 2 different patio spaces, and a game room out front. Has food on sight as well..
Beers were real great, looking forward to getting back for more. Overall, a super cool hang.

I’ve been coming to Urban Chestnut in The Grove for over a decade. I’ve loved this place and have come here for multiple milestones in mine and my friends’ lives: my best friend’s wedding, our college graduation, and the death of family members.
I understand hard times happen for businesses and this brewery needed to make choices to stay above water. However, this place has lost its luster over time.
My biggest complaints are the terrible music they play so loud that it’s hard to hear people sitting next to you and the TVs they have on the walls with movies and sporting events you can’t hear anyway. We’ve loved coming here for the beer hall feel, because we believe in socializing with friends and new people we’ve meet over the years. This place has just become another shitty dive bar with a thin veneer of German bierhall slapped on the front of it. The investment group they’ve partnered with to save their business is going to kill it. It’s already killed my desire to come back.
Great beer, service, vibe and food. Always a good time and great place to people watch.
If you're VEGAN, PASS! VEGAN options no great!
I have seen bad service before.
Service here was down right negligent.
Multiple times looked at by bartenders while they served customers that arrived well after I. 30 minutes wait at the bar just to close a tab.
Sugarfire was a great addition to already great beers
