Urban Chestnut Midtown Brewery and Biergarten

Urban Chestnut Midtown is always good vibes. We always go for the Nosferatu showing they do every year before Halloween. The Rats and People Orchestra generally provides live music to the 1922 silent film, but alas, weather was not in our favor this year. They still had the movie on inside and the beer is great and the pretzels are fire 🔥

The beer is really good plus they let you try a lot of free samples.

UCBC Midtown has a fantastic patio! Great atmosphere, my husband loves the beers, food options are good too. Patio is very dog friendly.

Drinks were good, weird atmosphere with upset/huffy bartender. First and last visit.

Wanted to take a moment to rave about Urban Chestnut. Took a friend and her daughter there before we went to the Fox. Had a fantastic meal. Interesting menu items that were different than the typical burger and fries. But what compelled me to write today is the absolutely beautiful job that they did stepping in for Crossroads College Prep after the May 2025 tornados. Crossroads took a big hit just two days before their graduation ceremony. Urban Chestnut went way above and beyond to create a gorgeous space and host the students and their families. Their attention to detail, hours of extra work, and joyous attitude made graduation absolutely perfect.

Urban Chestnut showed amazing grace and generosity in helping our school keep the graduation tradition alive after the tornado last week. We are very grateful to their amazing staff.

I ordered the Pimento Problem burger to take home afterwards. YUM!! Check it out. Great Place and even better people.

My grandson’s school had tornado damage on Friday, graduation was scheduled for Sunday. What to do??? Urban Chestnut Midtown Brewery to the rescue! I have always loved Urban Chestnut as a place to go hang out and get great beer, but when our school was affected by the 2025 tornado and we had to move graduation in just a few days, I became a life long customer and fan. They opened their doors to host our graduation and made a beautiful event and memory for our seniors. Thank you to the staff and decision makers who love our community and supported our kids. XOXO

Gotta say, favorite Beer hall for the year! I had a beer sampler with a pretzels and a cheeseburger. I have been debating all night which was better the beer cheese or the pretzels?! The beer selection is solid and focuses on German beers. As a soft pretzel fan, I LOVED Chestnuts version of the pretzel. They have a savory and a sweet pretzel, both are amazing and come with either a bier cheese or cream cheese respectively. For the beer sampler I chose lighter beers with the Tangerine Radler being my favorite of the night! All of them were great to drink while unwinding after a long day.

Service was very friendly and efficient on processing orders.

Atmosphere was great! They have a nice outdoor patio and they have weekly/daily games. When I was there they had Bingo playing.

I wish this place was closer to where I live because I would become a weekly patron!

My go-to brewery in St. Louis. The Biergarten is a great place to relax on a sunny day and the beer is excellent

Lots of good German style beers! The zwickel was my favorite but it was all great.

The Zwick and Munich are very nice beers. Knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere, and pleasant outdoor seating.

Arrived well before closing time, refused service. Why not just close earlier?
