Need a perfect and casual spot to unwind, have a beer and listen to some live music. It’s Urban Chestnut in Midtown St. Louis - with their open-air beer garden!Great selection of brews, always has live music, and now, they have the added bonus of delicious bites from Brass Bar by Gerard Craft - think juicy burgers and crispy fries. ??This place checks all the boxes for a laid-back day drink!

Urban Chestnut Biergarten is always a hit, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. They have a fantastic selection of beer and a nice food menu featuring burgers and various sandwiches – the pulled pork sandwich is a must-try. The bartenders are friendly, and the selection of board games adds a fun touch to the visit. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for a beer.

We went here tonight for the Brass Burger, and it’s a cool place! Love their patio! Will definitely be back for more Brass burgers and hard seltzer. Hopefully trivia in the future? :)

We had a nice experience just getting a beer and hanging out with friends.

I've been regularly visiting Urban Chestnut since my arrival in STL, and I have been met with nothing but a warm staff, scrumptious food options, and a solid range of beers (the ones that they rotate on tap).

We went to Urban Chestnut for our final dinner out on a recent trip to St. Louis. My husband was after a good beer selection, as he had trouble finding beers he enjoyed at the other restaurants we'd gone to and hoped a brewery would have better options. When we walked in at 5:30 there was a sign saying that the kitchen would not open until 5:45 -- which should have been a red flag. Once we ordered food, it took an hour for it to arrive and our 11-year-old daughter was incredibly hangry. On top of that the beer selection was not that great. I don't know if Kansas City just caters more to beer connoisseurs but it was upsetting that the one reason we went wasn't even great. All that said, if we had been without our daughter and had gone in just for a drink, it may have been better. But I found the main inside bar area sparse and uninviting. The outdoor space was great, but it was a little too chilly for us that evening to enjoy. I would not go to this location again.

Spacious indoor and outdoor beer hall with an excellent selection of beers that you will find on menus around the city. We came here with 40 friends for beer after a wedding rehearsal dinner. Particularly enjoyed the O-Katz, but highly recommend tasting a flight. The bar is very long and well staffed. It was surprisingly un-crowded for a Friday night in October.
Amazing beer and awesome beirgarden. Bingo night was also super fun and well ran.

Excellent place to visit on a quiet weekend afternoon!

Fantastic Beers and great atmosphere. Like a real German beer hall. It's the only craft brewery I know that has a second location in Germany.

We held a wonderful graduation party here. Perfect in every way. Fun for all ages. I can't express how accommodating the staff was. Incredibly helpful and fun. They made our day. If you question me, go there and be impressed by the fantastic staff. Thank you Adam

We stopped in this location at 6:30 PM yesterday (closing time was 7 PM) and were greeted with dirty looks and “FYI last call is in 3 minutes”. The service was very rude during our short stay and we will not be returning as it was clear the staff was inconvenienced by our business.
