Love the bar combination dining side. Attendance were upscale, professional and knowledgeable of the menu.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome however with the bar side, the atmosphere is more for adults on the evening.

We had 2 couples and everything was perfect, we were served promptly and professionally and our appetizers, meals, soups and salads were delicious. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Every experience I have had has been amazing! The French onion soup is so good. The chopped salad was wonderful, and my wife, who is Italian, loves the chicken parmigiana. What I love is the specialty cocktails and perfect service.

The cocktails were amazing. Our server was very sweet, and we loved the wings and Caesar the most!! Adding a pistachio dessert would be 10/10. Loved the ambience, lighting, and setup of the restaurant. We would definitely return. Great appetizer options. Can't go wrong with any of them. Loved the truffle fries!! The burger was also realllllly flavorful and good.

Nothing special. I can find this food and cocktails at any other St. Louis restaurant but better. Cold, gray environment in need of more on their walls. Bathroom old and does not match the dining area aesthetic. The owner was more concerned on his friends at the bar than the restaurant. Young female not good manager and very patronizing - I assume she was promoted from within. She focused more on group at bar than helping staff. Several better options in St. Louis. I was expecting more from an ex Charlie Gitto’s restaurateur.

First time at Vangel's and we'll be back! Food was excellent! Had the halibut risotto and salmon piccata. Perfection! Loved the atmosphere. Comfy seats. Our wine was also exceptional. <3

I came here a few months ago with my girlfriend and we sat at the bar to eat and have some drinks. Amazed that the beer taps were not working? So I couldn’t get a draft beer. The female bartender seemed annoyed and unhappy to be working in general. For a neighborhood spot (a neighborhood which I live in) the service wasn’t that friendly. We also felt pressured into buying $15 cocktails for no reason. A bud light on tap would have been nice. This is St Louis last time I checked? Who the F doesn’t have draft AB products?

As for the food, it was fine. Not bad, not great, just okay. Probably won’t be back. Don’t expect they’ll be around much longer. Much better options in the area.

Enjoyed dinner with 6 friends in private room (it holds 20 or more guest). Flatbread was great, tortellini the best I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had my favorite dish all over the USA and Italy! FIVE STARS!!
