I’ve never had the food but was going to try it out for catering. The restaurant’s website says they are only open Thursday through Sunday. I have been waiting several days for them to open back up. I already tried last week and I called today and still no one answered at noon o’clock to take my catering order. I was very disappointed to have to keep trying to chase these people down. I’m going to have to go with another restaurant.

The hospitality and atmosphere and flavor of the food. Excellent don’t let the area fool you the food is amazing. This is a hidden gem and the owner is top-notch.

Look at your receipt really well before leaving a tip. Gumbo was gross but the fish was delish. Didn't receive copy of receipt so I took a pic...jic!

Marleen and I were looking for a fish restaurant since it was Friday. Had been at Big Barnes for a visit with my eye surgeon. Thus we were in South St. Louis and up came. Who Dat Southern food.
As we drove down Kingshighway ings highway boulevard from Big Barnes, I gave my bride a tour of what was happening on South Kings highway when I was a kid growing up in the area from the very first Uncle Bill's Pancake House to Krighauser Mortuary. The restaurant, By the way, is across the street from the old mortuary.

We accidentally showed up 2 minutes before closing time (their close time is an hour before it says online). They insisted that it was ok and we stay to eat. The staff was so kind and the food was delicious. We ate quickly to get out of their hair, but at no point did they rush us. We will definitely be back (during their open hours).

I went to this location yesterday, arrived around 4:45pm and the doors were locked. There was no sign on the door as to why they were closed. I was so disappointed: I came from Miami hoping to try their food while I was in town.

Truck driver just passing thru St Louis. I googled best soul food in the city and they popped up I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with side jambalaya and side green beans. Food was great I’ll be back next time I’m in the area

Make sure you call and see if they are open if you are within an hour of their posted closing times. Their website and on Google says they are open until 5pm on Sundays. We live almost 35 minutes away, have busy schedules and Sundays are the only time we can check them out.

We have tried to eat here twice on Sundays, got their a little after 4:00pm both times and their doors are locked and they are closed. I could see their staff through the window. Super frustrating to drive that far twice and they not be open. Don't know if we will ever try eating their again or refer anyone to go their.
