It’s truly heartbreaking to see all of the people leaving negative reviews for this restaurant. The owners are kind hearted and hardworking people who have been contributing to St. Louis’ diverse restaurant scene for years- it’s important for hole in the wall family owned restaurants like Yan Wu to exist and continue adding to the social and cultural fabric of the city, as more and more go out of business or are replaced by characterless chains. The food is good but oftentimes soup is not available while on the menu, which is kind of disappointing but I still buy their food when I want Asian food. By the way, if you love fried gizzards, they make some very good fried gizzards, and, IMHO, they make them better than anybody else in the area. I used to buy them at the BP gas station, but their gizzards aren't that good.
