I was recommended this restaurant by several friends, but I just don't think it's for me.
My fiancé and I split the hangar steak and two small plates; pork belly and the carrots. There was nothing overtly wrong with the dishes, but they are easily forgotten. The cocktails we had were so sweet that it was hard to appreciate any underlying flavor.
Service was great we had a very nice waitress who took plenty of time to explain the dishes and come by...

Yellowbelly is clearly a hot dining spot for a lot of people in St. Louis, but I just don't think it's for me.
The cocktails, with the exception of the Pina Colada, were just a bit much (too spicy, too sour, etc) for my tastes. The hanger steak had great flavor, but ended up being undercooked enough to hurt my enjoyment of the dish. On the upside, the upside down pineapple bread pudding was really good!
