We went there at around 7:50pm. We didn't have any reservations and the wait time was 45 mins. When we finally got our table the wait time for food was minimal. We started with freshly baked soft bread while waiting. The food was delicious. Capellini alla Zia was my favorite followed by Cannelloni. The server was very nice and attentive. The ambience was nice but too loud, lol ?I suggest book a reservation if you want to avoid long waiting time.

We had eggplant parmesan for appetizers, tutto mare, mostacciolli al forno and tiramisu. The tiramisu tasted nothing like coffee and didn’t live up to our expectation. Tutto mare was good but too salty. So was the al forno which was disappointing and mostly salty cream than anything else. The service and atmosphere were good. Would not try it again.

We love Zia’s! So fun to grab a bite here and then walk around the botanical gardens. The pasta and lemon drop martinis are exceptionally good!

I enjoyed the baked lasagna. The side salad was a little lacking and included some rotten lettuce.

Zia’s is delicious! The salad was fabulous ! My 3 year old loved it, too! The service was great, our waiter was patient with our children and helped find things they’d like to eat.

The food was average. It was so hot that it burnt my mouth even after 15 minutes. However, my main issue was with one of the waiters. I asked for his recommendation on the food, and he told me that he didn't know because he doesn't eat there!

This place is fantastic, all the food is delicious and great quility, even the bread they serve was really good, service is exceptional, pricing is more than reasonable. Was in town and looking for a great local joint, glad I picked this spot, this place is a must visit. If your reading this review, stop thinking about it and go!Parking: Parking isn't bad, you will find something, remember it's street parking though.

While the food was great, the service wasn't up to par. We walked in and saw the hostess on her phone before she saw us. We ended up seeing nearly every other staff member on their phone during our visit. The servers were standing in a circle and on their phones just feet from us. They were chatting and showing each other their screens. The busser walked up to our table to grab plates with one hand while looking at his phone in the other. I was a Thursday night and not busy, yet it took a while to get anything all night. From drink refills and food to getting the bill and card receipt. It definitely wasn't the experience I expected.

Good food, walkable area, but the resturant is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs required to access.

Service started off slow, with the bread and apps plates either wet or covered in old grease or food. Our server replaced them immediately after we brought them to his attention. But then once we got started and had our food, we were blown away. Every item was delicious and well prepared. The portions were alarmingly large. We had a great time enjoying our food, talking about how excellent it was, and enormous the portions were. For the old school, Italian vibe, this is a St. Louis staple. My KC friends were impressed!

Been coming to this place for many years. It never changes. Zia's has the best food on the Hill, for my taste. It's authentic and the flavor is true Italian. The staff and service is great. Every time I am in STL, I swing by Zia's on the Hill and I am never disappointed. Take home their homemade salad dressing. It's the best.

It's a stereotypical Italian restaurant that did not disappoint. Patreons crossed multiple ages, ethnicities, and income levels. Asked for a recommendation and my server nailed it with the chicken parmesan.Salad and bread starter was great, main dish with pasta side was excellent. The pink sauce over shells was amazing. I think it's a combo of alfredo and red sauces. The sauces were a bit spicy but not over the top. Used up bread to get every last drop of sauce. Then house made cannoli for dessert.I had mineral water but the wine, beer, hard alchohol, and aperitif list was extensive.Best of all, out the door was just over $33, without tip. Amazing carb high!Parking: You may need to park a block or two away.

Everything was delicious, and my kids loved it, too! Great service. One of the waiters looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan / Javier Bardem. ?
