A fantastic local spot! We stayed at the nearby campground during the off-season and visited several times. We loved the good music, friendly interactions with Sam the bartender, and the delicious food—particularly the chicken fingers and fish bites. The outdoor area is wonderful, featuring a beach, TVs, occasional live entertainment, and plenty of seating. The staff was warm and welcoming to both people and dogs. Highly recommend!
Cool bar on the lake. We sat outside because the weather was awesome, and they had a DJ out there playing music that night. It was nice to enjoy the water, watch the boats coming in and out, and have a few drinks. The drinks were good and the food was good. Service was pretty slow though. Overall it is a good place, and I imagine everyone has an off night once in a while, so I wouldn't judge the service fully based on one visit.
On 9/12/2025 my husband and I were having dinner at Papa Chubbys. We were there on our motorcycle as it is Bikefest weekend at the lake. My husband had a medical emergency as we were eating. There was not a person that was working there that did not jump in to help us. Our waitress was amazing. The girls that came from behind the bar to call 911, and help us, were amazing. The gentleman that brought candy and a cupcake to help get his blood sugar up, was amazing. The people sitting...
