Drove to STL to visit the Laumeier Sculpture Park. Stopped by Mellow Mushroom for some food before the drive home. SO happy we did, we never heard of Mellow Mushroom but it quickly became one of my new favorite Pizza places. Such a cool ambiance! We got the Maui wowie and the funky Q chicken! 10/10 also; amazing crust!
Ordered a large pizza online and was given a pickup time of 8:50pm. I arrived at 8:55 and parked in one of the curbside pickup spots and texted my name and spot# to the phone number on the sign. No response. I figured they must be busy or overwhelmed so I waited a bit longer—maybe 10-15 minutes—and then texted the number again. And again, no response. Pizza was okay, it was just not the way a business should be run. We ordered just before 9, they close at 10. When she refilled Nick’s tea, she told him, that’s all they have. (They were still going to be open for an hour). So, he ordered a special Strawberry drink they advertised on the table tent. When it was delivered, I said, “No strawberries, like in the picture”. She informed us the strawberries were gross, so they left them out. Well…..the drink was gross, too!...read full review
