“Drove to STL to visit the Laumeier Sculpture Park. Stopped by Mellow Mushroom for some food before the drive home. SO happy we did, we never heard of Mellow Mushroom but it quickly became one of my new favorite Pizza places. Such a cool ambiance! We got the Maui wowie and the funky Q chicken! 10/10 also; amazing crust!”

“I can't speak to the atmosphere because I used the drive-through. I've been in the area for about four years now and have had to drive out of town to find a decent Italian beef sandwich. One evening, I didn't feel like making that drive, so I decided to give Lion's Choice a try.

I was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich tasted good, although it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. That's really just a personal preference, though. The service was fairly quick, and the interaction was pleasant enough.

I honestly don't have any complaints, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was the best Italian beef sandwich I've ever had. It certainly wasn't the worst, either. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I would recommend giving them a try. Everyone has their own preferences, and while it didn't completely wow me, I enjoyed my sandwich and wouldn't hesitate to go back.”

“I’m 78, travelled the world and these are the very best noodles and noodle dishes I have ever had. I doubt I will ever eat ramin or udon ever again. This is not a fancy sit down restaurant, it’s a Japanese noodle restaurant or social bar. The young lady receptionist/waitress was very welcoming and helpful. The cooks are hard working and friendly. The selection is somewhat limited but just the kind of meals you will want to try again and again. 一番 Ichiban. (# 1)”

I have sat barside as much as I have at a table. I prefer the bar unless I am with a small group or.on a date night.
Not very much seating, so you shoukd make a reservation. Tight quarters.”

“Super impressed with the food quality and portions! We left with leftovers and were absolutely stuffed. The roast chicken is worth all the hype it receives, but the prosciutto di parma and grilled octopus appetizers honestly stole the show for us. Tons of great wine and cocktail or mocktail options as well. The service was efficient, friendly, and on point. The atmosphere is energetic and definitely on the louder side, so keep that in mind if that’s not your vibe. Easily one of my husband and I’s top five restaurants in the STL area. Worth every effort to snag a reservation!”

I would love to see the chef have a bit more creative license and split a some more from the upscale American tradition. Also... may need some more acoustic treatment for the space. But overall, it was a fun experience.”

“Excellent anchovy toast, and the shrimp was succulent and flavorful. The veal meatballs were dry and not seasoned well. I highly recommend the lemoncello tiramisu. It was moist, light and refreshing. Excellent spot for dinner and drinks with friends or a date.”

“Gioia’s Winghaven is our go to for sandwiches! Always get the order correct, always timely service, always wonderful customer service, always delicious! The only complaint is I can’t have them on Sunday! :( We’ve tried to go back to other sandwich shops on a Sunday and it never compares to Gioia’s. You’ve raised the bar so much, now everyone else is a disappointment.”

“When I was traveling through St Louis, a friend introduced me to this place. The frozen custard is amazing and dare I say heavenly. So soft and creamy. It was a true treat. I love discovering and finding out about those wonderful neighborhood gems. I also liked that they had bench seats along one side of the parking lot underneath the trees for people to sit and contemplate the wonderfulness of life and Ted Dewes custard helps to get you into that space.”

“My wife and I went to Nixta last light for her birthday. We cannot say enough rave reviews! The atmosphere was romantic, chic and cozy. The food was EXCELLENT considering that I normally do not like Mexican food. The fish tacos and chicken tacos were superb. The tortilla chips were so good and the flan was the topping to a great night.”

“The Crossing Restaurant did a remarkable job the other evening when we dined there. We had impeccable service and outstanding food. I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. I remember being wowwed when I first dined at The Crossing 25 years ago and it is still just as fabulous! We cannot wait to return.”

“Interesting and charming Mediterranean restaurant in one of Manchester's many large shopping areas, right next to Dierbergs.

We came for a late lunch (2pm) and enjoyed the place to ourselves (besides one other couple). Service was amazing; Pranitha was the sweetest! We ordered two entrees. The servers surprised us by bringing out a small sample of three of their dips which were delicious. My favorite was the black bean dip — amazing.

We had both a Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and Beef Kofta Sandwich. We enjoyed both equally. Great flavors and tender meat. I wish they had more sauce on the sandwiches themselves, but the garlic sauce provided helped cut the dryness. The fries were crispy as well.

They have some unique and different options on their menu. I wish they had gyros. No frills, but a clean and quaint dining room. We would totally return, mostly due to the free appetizers and Pranitha’s service ;)”
