People of color aren’t welcome. We were required to pay for our food before eating and the other customers in the restaurant were not. A couple and a gentleman came in after us and were not required to pay first. The gentleman even walked up to the counter to pay and was told you pay on the way out. No one could explain why there was a difference in the service. It was pretty obvious.

Needs updating, convenient store is small but stocked well… However. This is a place that even the locals go to for country dining. Small restaurant-diner. The food is good and comparatively inexpensive. The server I had was a sweet woman who definitely wants you to feel welcome. Surprisingly, the eggs were perfect, as was the hamburger patty, hash browns were cooked better than most places though the only toast they had was regular white bread, no rye. Plenty of food for breakfast. I had stopped by this place about two days earlier because I was running out of time and it was becoming too late to find parking in the big box truck stops. Ordered a To Go order, double hamburger, fries that came with Coleslaw. Suggestion, ask to have the coleslaw put into another container! Otherwise, the liquid from the coleslaw might leak over where the hamburger is and soak the bun. Otherwise, was a good hamburger! That’s why I came back when I went back through the area. OTR trucking dictates that I really don’t know where I’m going until I’m sent there. So, when I find a place like this, it’s entered into my GPS for a future trip to stop at. Unlike any of the big box places that is just another Subway, Chester’s, Carls, McDonald’s, fast food slop , this is a real meal! Also, unlike the overpriced cafeteria slop that the Petro and TA have. This place cares about how they cook it! I will be back, though I don’t know when…. lol

ichelle has a serious attitude when answering the phone. Tried to place an order over the phone since was tight on time , but still wanted good food. Only phone number I could find (mainly Siri could find) was for the truck stop.
Michelle answers and I get that it was the wrong area, asked to be transferred, she offered to take my order. So far so good…. I asked if they had a special today… how dare I not be psychic!!
Then I get a high and “I’ll have to ask” Ok, no problem. At this point my dog gets up on the dash board and is getting excited, like she knows I’m getting something good and she’s gonna get spoiled, and I giggled at this.
Michelle snaps “is there something funny?”
“No” I answered confused as to why she would snap at me like that!?!
The phone was then muted on their end, she comes back and snarks “here a waitress for you”
“Ok, thank you”
Tried placing my order and the waitress wasn’t any nicer… I needed up calling back and cancelling everything two minutes later… went down to where I was fueling, parked and got food from there.
I will likely try them again because it’s such good food compared to most places (chili cheese omelette yum! Don’t knock it til you tried it) on this run, but when I have time to stop and it fits into my schedule. Rather than trying to schedule my run to be able to stop there, like I did today.

Was recommended the grilled cheese but ended up getting the chicken fried steak (not the sandwich) and it was amazing! (Hot means sandwich by the way. Who would have guessed) Life-hack: the 6oz ribeye is ¢50 cheaper if you get it with eggs instead of fries! Moral of the story, don’t trust the picky waitress, she doesn’t eat here. 5/7, perfect experience.

I've been stopping there for the last 4 or 5 years usually always have good service food is decent, stopped there today 10/11/24 got there 10:30 a.m. ordered two eggs, sausage hash browns and toast comma waited 45 minutes no refills had to ask for one finally walked out after 45 minutes pay for my coffee I'll not go back there I was very disappointed, shouldn't take 45 minutes to cook two eggs hash browns and sausage.

Very friendly people, very welcoming, fair pricing, and the food quality was great. Very small complaint would be it’s a somewhat limited menu, but the quality and people are top notch.
Had a breakdown on hwy 70 & finally made it to Betty's truck stop. Went in, said goodmorning & asked where the bathrooms were. No response from the store clerk. I found them on my own, then upon leaving, asked the clerk how much the Mike & Ikes were, (forcing her to speak to me), she said she didn't know. Didn't even look me in the face. It's a shame that things like this exist in this world. I hope that whatever things you've faced in life don't continue to influence your actions towards people.

If I could leave a zero review I would. I stopped in to buy a pie and was told that I could not buy a whole pie because they did not have multiples of them asked if they could put single pieces together to make a pie and was also told no. This is the worst experience ever I will never come back and I will tell all my friends.

The lady in the store watches u like your a thief. Walked in to get coffee and I asked her what are u watching. She said me. I said I'm just getting coffee. She was very rude and told me to stuff it. As a trucker I've never had such an unpleasant visit. Both lady's in café very sweet and nice. Truckers Cafe is good but stay out of store that lady is rude and thinks everyone a thief. Betty owner won't speak to you if u got complaints. Won't stop here again
