I gave this a 1 star because we had a tough situation this evening that needs to be addressed.
The same young man, very professional and polite who works the counter is not included in the tips yet he takes the orders and delivers food to the tables and buses tables.
My husband tried to tip on our card and asked him if he gets a portion and he shook his head no. He asked who gets it and he shrugged. It was like he wasn’t allowed to talk about it.
So he tried to tip cash and hand it to him and he said he was not allowed to take it.
Where are the tips going? Is it acceptable to not allow the server of a restaurant to not share tips?
The food is always good the restaurant is clean and well kept but something weird is going on here.

I picked up our dinner about 3:50 pm today and when we got home and tried to eat ti we just couldn't! The steak and chicken was so dry even if we dipped it into the sauce that we couldn't eat it. The shrimp in my wife's dinner couldn't be eaten and the noodles in all the noodle servings were a sticky congealed mass. We didn't eat any of it - just a few bites when we discovered how inedible it is. So, bottom line, over $60 worth of garbage was all thrown out.
We ordered takeout for my birthday and I’ve never had drier food. It’s like they microwaved dinners from 3 nights ago. Never again

The FFD roll is something you must try when visiting. This place is pricey but filling.

Food is really good! Love the sushi—Eel avocado roll is on point, Kamikazi roll w/ Unagi sauce is delicious.
(Edit) For context, this is not the best sushi I’ve ever had, which is why I give 4 stars, but to not have to drive to Wentzville—I’m really happy and the craving is satisfied. The Eel/Unagi sauce is okay, I think they cheaped out on it or thinned it out—it’s not the thicker, dark sauce I’m used to having on sushi. Aside from that, the prices are good, staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect for a little hometown sushi stop

Everything actually tastes good, but why ask how to cook the steak when you're just going to cook it to death regardless? Ordered hibachi steak medium rare, and it was way past well done!

Sushi was Aall rice and huge chunk of cream cheese with the thinnest piece of salmon I’ve ever seen. Thin as a piece of paper and the crab ragoons have absolutely no filling basically empty.i would love to submit photos of the food I received tonight

Doesn’t take orders 15 minutes before they close. This is new to us. They’ve been rude to order from in the last hour of business in the past.
We frequent here later because we’re self employed and work late many evenings. But coming in at 7:46 and being told we can’t even order is ridiculous to us. We’ve never been there past 8:00 as many times as we’ve been there but just won’t deal with going back ?♀️
