The pizza crust is not good, ruins the pizza. The toppins, cheese and sauce are great. If they could make the crust with more of a doughy NY type instead of a flaky cornmeal, it would be one of the best pizzas in st. Louis.
I'm going to miss this place. It reminds me of my granny. The broasted chicken is so juicy and crunchy. I still don't think I've ever tried the pizza, but that's the plan for my next visit.
Frank and Helen's is a neighborhood icon but is losing it's lease in the fall.We went to show our support for local restaurants, but the service was so slow and portions very ungenerous. They are going to have a hard time continuing elsewhere.
