Went to this place yesterday. Last time before yesterday was 2 years ago, when HiTea took over the previous HK style noodle and tea shop. HiTea's ramen was pretty good at that time, but yesterday I had no idea what I got. Polite staff, though.
Bad taste
Boba tasted tough and flavor was almost coffee like

The service here is just okay, it's not a full-service dine-in restaurant. The food is passable, but it's a nice place to chill with friends and have some milk tea.

Get what you pay for, I guess. Taro milk tea with boba - Drink itself was very bland, I got 75 percent sweetness and it tasted of nothing but plain milk. Boba was extremely chewy and the majority were too large to fit up the straw.

So, I gave 2 stars, ONLY because the product is good. The service is OKAY..but I will never go here again. Second to last time I went they used whole milk when I asked them not to, and last time I went, I asked them to add some flavoring into my tea, and she said she couldnt because "we dont know how that will taste"....???? are you kidding me? I asked for it, I am paying for it, why tf does it matter what you like and dont like!!!!
Go to the one in chesterfield instead. This place is small, the food look unappealing and looked rushed, Meats look soggy, don't have any proper Bowls or plates. Don't waste your time/money like I did.

It's always the same people working there, and they are super friendly. The tea is delicious. Really really delicious. Their boba tea is much better than what my family has had at other boba tea shops. I'm so glad we found Hitea in the loop. We've been going almost every week, for 5 months.

The majority of the tea they offer is not fresh and instead they just use powders. Even the fresh fruit teas do not contain any fresh fruit in it at all. If you ask for less ice, they’ll just add plain water to the cup instead of adding more tea. This leads to a flavorless watered down tea. I highly doubt they make fresh boba every day as half of the tapioca in my drink were hard on the inside. Disappointed in the shortcuts they take
I love hi-tea but I prefer the ChesterfieldLocation better I love hi-teas boba but not much from this location, I’ll just drink the tea and not eat the boba but the other location it’s a lot more flavorful
This fried rice was ridiculously fresh and delicious!!!♥️? And the teas were excellent like I’ve never tasted before… ever!! The Lemon Galaxy Flower Tea and the cheesecake strawberry green tea….really?!?! Who freakin ever knew!!! They both were out of this ?!!!♥️
I went into hitea to try boba for the first time. The workers were extremely patient and helped talk me through the many options this place had to offer. I ended up with a drink I loved, and will definitely be going again. Highly recommend for friendly service and delicious drinks!
this place needs to learn how to treat their employees. i went yesterday and it made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. right in front of me, the manager with pink hair was screaming, yelling and using foul language at one of her employees, right in front of all the customers. i also order 2 drinks and they were both watery.
