I'm incredibly disappointed with the amount I pay for my food plan. And they don't want to make chicken tenders, because that involves work instead, they'll just pretend that it's out.

This used to be a nice place to go for lunch on campus. Now the food is bland and hardly anyone goes there.

After working there and being a customer, I will gladly say that Sodexo has taken advantage of their employees. Upper management does not care about giving staff proper compensation for their hard work or years of loyalty to the company. New employees are often blamed for issues like food not being out fast enough or cleanliness issues when the real issue is that they try to cut corners in every way. While I was working, there were normally only two people in the store at a time. During breaks, one person had to cover an entire line of customers. If I had to use the restroom or if there was any emergency, I would be unable to leave due to their strict cap on hours.
I do not recommend eating at any of their retail or dining hall facilities. I do, however, give my continuous support to the employees that are trying their best. Remember that as workers, you have the right to talk about wages. If they tell you to clock out to finish your work, THAT IS ILLEGAL AND MUST BE REPORTED. Do not get walked all over. Apply somewhere else on campus or consider unionizing or hosting a strike.

Wow I don’t even know where to start… from finding a chicken wing with feathers still on it to getting E. Coli and going to the hospital I don’t know how to express in words how bad this catering company is. The food that is served at UCM is absolutely disgusting, improperly prepared, and is a health concern. I would not recommend eating here to ANYONE! The issue with UCM is that they give every contract to the lowest bidder… sodexo literally does the catering for the US prisons systems. Don’t you think that for all the money we pay to go here, we should eat a little better than the exiles of society?
Imagine hiring a guy who talks like this to people who are just trying to do the least harm to animals and the environment… on *their* page, while advertising who he works for. A food service group. Can you imagine asking for a vegan meal here and this is the guy you’re trusting to make the food? Ridiculous
