The food and service is outstanding! We chose to eat here yesterday because it was close to the Courthouse and convenient. What a pleasant surprise it was. If in the area in the future we definitely will go again!

As part-timers in The Burg, my husband and I have been checking out all of the locally-owned restaurants, and Old Barney’s is definitely one of our faves! So many people recommended we try them out. Their burgers are delicious, and the onion tanglers are the perfect accompaniment. Also tried the fried mushrooms last night, and they were great, too. It can get really busy during peak times, so I do suggest going during a less busy time for the best experience. The servers work really hard, and they’re very friendly and knowledgeable, but it’s easy for them to get slammed with a big crowd!

Classic and well done bar/pub food, super friendly staff, great prices!!
Edited to say we tried the Barney bowl and was super disappointed that the mashed potatoes tasted instant and gravy was super watery and had an off flavor ? and the corn was canned. The chicken was so good though, hand battered as advertised and really juicy!
Visit here at least once a month. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food. Have eaten many items off the menu - all are really good - but my favorite is the grilled chicken wrap with tater tots.
Historically a 5 star for me. This time the servers were either poor or there wasn't enough help. Walked in just before a large number of people came in. Got my drink right away and wanted to quickly order food but couldn't get either server to stop. The one in my area took everyone else's drink order that came in after me which is understandable, but then started taking all their food orders before mine. I was trying to order food before some of them stepped inside, frustrating experience. Had to walk out and visit a different restaurant. I'll give them a chance to get the 5 back next time I visit but the service was disappointing. Hope it improves.

Awesome atmosphere and staff. Cooks must of had an off night. I had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, green beans. No seasoning or flavor, chicken was like eating gristle. Girlfriend had hamburger steak with gravy and mashed potatoes. No flavor and gravy worse. We sent most of it back uneaten. Waiting staff was awesome and apologetic. Salad was really good, ranch dressing was excellent. May try again as other reviews were positive.
