Great atmosphere, nicely decorated! Great house salad served in chilled plates. Server was awesome. Really good pizza and great crust, will be back. GREAT PIZZA JOINT

PIZZA: Airy, crispy thing crust with a lightly sweet & tangy sauce topped with plenty of mozzarella. Exceptional! CHICKEN WINGS: Your standard naked & deep-fried then tossed in Buffalo sauce. They won't blow your socks off, but they're not too shabby for a small town pizza joint. PIES: The owners' flagship business is Cowan's next door. They share the bathrooms, some kitchen fare, & also the desserts. Cowan's bakes a slew of different pies every day & the leftovers are transferred to Benito's customers. The chocolate "mile-high merengue" was quite tasty; but the chocolate peanut butter was crack cocaine in a pie crust. Decadent & deliciously balanced. HOSPITALITY: Absolutely wonderful.

I can't believe I'm the first to write a review of this place. I grew up eating at the old Benito's in the 70's and 80's. These guys bought the old recipes and have recreated it here and now for us. They definitely hit the mark. It's outstanding. The crust is super thin but bubbly, flaky and crisp, unlike most pizza you get around here. While it may be thin, it's not, per se, St Louis style pizza. They use actual cheese instead of that provel junk. Did I mention the crust, it's the star of the show. The sauce is fantastic as well. Maybe could use a little more of some spice, possibly fennel, not sure but that's just a personal preference. On our visit the shop was clean and pleasant and the service was great. You should try this pizza, you'll love the crust. I also had a Caesar salad that I thoroughly enjoyed. Bonus! you can order amazing pie from Cowan's cafe which is right next door. crust crust crust...crust crust crust (full disclosure, I do casually know the owners but I'd have written this exact review regardless)
