The Cowan burger was excellent. Served on rye bread, which isn’t my favorite but it really accented the taste of the hamburger. It’s substantial and it will fill you up. The chips were really good too. I just added some salt and they were perfect. Great place to stop by with lots of pies and good service.
Pretty good little breakfast spot. You might wait a bit if it’s crowded (understandable) but the service and food are good. The pies are fun - you can buy a slice or a whole pie, but give them some notice if you want an entire one.

This is as American as you can get. Came in for the famous mile high pie, and it was delicious and unique. The whipped cream was super light and fluffy- it’s like eating air…. The waiter was attentive and the food was delicious too.

Waitress was amazing, attentive, professional, and very sweet! I wish I could remember her name to give a shout out, but that's okay! More than likely will come back again, as my partner and I sincerely enjoyed this restaurant and their servings as well!

We always google locally owned restaurants near me and look at the reviews! Cowan's Restaurant didn't disappoint! We actually went back later in the day for pie! The food and service was fantastic!
This was my first time here. Food was and service was excellent. We will definitely be back .
You won’t get a side of fruit here. But you will get an amazing breakfast. Food and staff are the best. Must stop if passing through Washington.
Great food
Went on a Sunday around 10am, not a long wait but were busy! Coffee is always hot, service in general great!
Don't skip the hot cakes! We also got a breakfast biscuit(light/airy homemade biscuit)... delicious!

Great place to take the family or on a date. It’s a great environment, the serve team are always pleasant. They are known for for their fried chicken. Sadly on this visit, on a Saturday evening at 5:30, they were out of their fried chicken. I made myself happy with a slice of warm strawberry rhubarb crumb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Did I say they are also known for their fabulous deserts 👍❤️🥰
Son In Law told us this is the place to go for food and service. AWESOME 🥧 pies.
Will be coming back soon
Just the oldest restaurant in Washington and has that vibe. The staff is great, and the breakfast
food is top notch. They are great at turning tables, so if you show up and there are a few folks waiting, fear not. You will be sitting at a table with coffee in hand in no time.
Seriously, you can't go wrong here for breakfast.
