From out of town visiting and I’ll tell you what this was some freaking flavorful food. If you haven’t tried It you should. Sushi was freshly made that’s for sure.

First time, wanted to try something new. Was a little apprehensive when we first pulled up, because it doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't let the cover fool you, the food was amazing, the staff were great and very helpful, and the portions are quite satisfying. Will definitely be a return for us.

Decent food but a pain to order. Two nights in a row we were missing the main entree. If your team cannot use DoorDash or keep track of orders please do some training.

Family experienced HJCE for the first time tonight. We got a little bit of everything. We were all saying “oh wow” between bites. Everything was phenomenal. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. We didn’t order enough of the spicy California rolls. Our picky four-year-old ate every noodle on her plate. The staff was incredibly kind, which suited the small, personable atmosphere. The food is both affordable and plentiful. They’ve already become one of my favorite restaurants. We can’t wait to come back!

Great, local sushi spot. Dont be fooled by the small restaurant, this is one of the best sushi locations around. Dont hesitate to try.

Food was GOOooooD.... chopsticks are provided ....it's kinda small in there so if your not a people person I'd get take out.

Called in an order just to arrive 20 minutes later to wait another 40 minutes. Then the lady, who couldn’t give a crap, said all we were waiting on was the soup and had my bag ready. Then I watched her take a box out of my bag to put it in another bag for a different lady waiting. She then told me my order was still not ready. Absolutely wild.

Theirs is the best sushi I've had in a long time. Haven't found anyplace in St Louis that has better. And they're the sweetest people! I'm sad Dede has moved to Iowa to open a new sushi spot there, but Andi & Sydney could not have been more kind & helpful. Cozy atmosphere & lots of regulars streaming in all the time.
