I can’t say enough about this place. I stayed here for a week on a work trip. The service was top notch at the hotel and the restaurant. Katie and Julia made me feel at home. I had mentioned how I wanted to get down the road to try some famous pie. Katie went out of her way and bought me a slice of pie (out of her own pocket). To say this place was anything but extraordinary would be an understatement. I will be back and looking forward to the stay again.
Very rude bartender. We had 10 people walk into an empty bar (2 customers) and bartender said “you can’t bombard me like this”. We waited at least 10 minutes and she didn’t serve us. Didn’t even say I will be with you shortly. I think if you are not a local, you are not welcome. We were even staying in the Inn for the night. Very disappointed. I would go down the street.
Had lunch at the tavern bar...the calamari was excellent....great beer selection....friendly staff...nice atmosphere. Would recommend
Are lunch here. Great food and cocktail. Casual service.
We ate lunch there yesterday. The food was excellent amd we got plenty of it. The waitress was very attentive amd polite. The only thing is, we waited 20 minutes to get waited on, we were right in the verge of leaving when someone finally can over to wait on us.
I’ll probably go back but not for a while now.
First, let me say that we are not easily impressed! We have accepted that mediocre is all you can expect. We came here for my wife's 60th birthday and the drinks, Crab Rangoon, pork chops, and meat loaf were AMAZING! You will not be disappointed here and we will return the next time we visit Washington!!
Stayed at the Old Dutch while working the fair and had an amazing experience. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. The tavern had the best food we'd had for dinner in Washington so it became a staple for the week we were there. Rooms were quiet with comfortable beds and a nice, hot shower. Complimentary breakfast on the lower level with the ice machine, additional restrooms and a little table with fresh cut flowers. Great history, the renovations were well done. 10/10 would stay here again!
The food and beer selection were good. The waiter was friendly and attentive.
I only went there for a meal with a bunch of family members. But the atmosphere was great. It was very eccentric. The service was very good, an expedient and professional.
Ate at the Old Dutch Tavern while riding the KATY Trail and staying in the lovely town of Washington. MO. Great value, excellent food, really good beer list.

We stayed one night at the Old Dutch Hotel while riding the Katy Trail. The room was small but clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The tavern is right next door and had good food and good selection of adult beverages. Angela was the staff person when we checked in and she was awesome! So welcoming and friendly and even volunteered to do our laundry at no cost. That was small town hospitality at it's best. We had a terrific stay.
Extremely easy access to Amtrak station, but terrain does require some fitness. Even though building is old, so halls are narrow, no obnoxious odors, remodeling excellent, and great air conditioning. I use an APAP machine for sleeping & accidentally left it at home. When I requested 3 extra pillows the front attendant at 9:15 pm promptly provided. I also noticed a small beverage cooler by attendant desk and a zero sugar 7UP was available for purchase. Very soothing for a throat that normally is aided while sleeping.
Great staff, great food, and hefenweisen, I'll be back again next time I'm through.
Was there for a wedding food n hotel were great
I dined here with my parents for lunch today. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service, the food and the ambiance. Located in historic Washington, MO. Everything was clean and top notch. The best lunch I’ve had in years. I highly recommend Old Dutch
