Greg was an excellent server - very attentive and knowledgable. The tasting menu was excellent!
Beautiful restaurant. Our first time here was on Valentine's Day and I picked the perfect place. The staff was amazing. The hosts were so personable and friendly. Our server was amazing! She wore a pink blazer with curly hair, so cute! Even the manager did table touches which was great. The food was incredible and the portions were large. Love that. 10/10 . Recommending this restaurant on Tictok! @cliniquefancy
Great ambiance but food was lack luster. Waitress was top tier and they accommodated mocktails very well. Food needed to be seasoned a bit more.
We were there for Valentine's Day. It was an excellent experience. The food and drinks were amazing. Great atmosphere and service.
We had such a great time! Right off the bat the vibe and atmosphere were spot on! Everyone was so friendly and very attentive. We started with bread. Holy cow ... it was unbelievable with whipped ricotta, butter and an apple spread. Mayfair salad was perfect and perfect proportion. My husband had the in house sliced bone in strip (nice and thick) and got the risotto special. We are ready to go again soon!
Excellent food presentation and variety. Pure drinks (like wine and liqueur) were served timely by the waitress, who was very nice and attentive. If there was something to improve would be the preparation of the cocktails and the bringing of the appetizers in terms of the speed. But, we (my wife and I) the quality and the quantity of the food. I will rank it as one of the 5 best italian restaurants in St. Louis.
Fantastic meal at Madrina. The service was warm and attentive without hovering, and the pacing of the courses was spot on. Great cocktails, and everything we ordered was well-seasoned and beautifully presented. Lively atmosphere—perfect for a date night or celebration.
Not the best night- not enough employees to handle the crowd:( One bartender for entire restaurant means slow drink service. Plus when our food finally came out - it was room temp at best! Plus at 14 degrees outside, we were sat next to drafty windows and froze for two hours, heaters were not on and had to wear are winter coats all night! Mentioned it to our server who didn't see to care.
I gave 2 stars for the service because it was just not that great. The best part were the hostesses. They were friendly and very helpful. I was seated at a table near the windows and it was nearly ten minutes before a woman in a black cardigan and glasses came to pour water. I don't know if she was the GM of assistant GM, but she didn't come back for another 5 min and then asked "Other than water, what would you like?" I ordered a glass of wine and the eggplant parmesan. This, after the server for the table next to me had presented specials and taken their drink order and refilled their water. Not a great start. I got cold, so I asked to move to the bar after a few patrons left. The hostesses were glad to help. But after explaining a few times the table I moved from, it still seemed like it was an issue for the bar staff. It look several attempts to get the attention of the bar staff. Myself and the couple next to me both noticied this. Even after asking the barback for refills it took a significant amount of time to get our drink orders taken. All of them were really focused on cleaning, and not serving. It then took 15 min for me to get the check when I asked to close out. Again, they had issues with me moving from a table to a bar. It made no sense. I finally got the check without a word from the bartender. No "Thank you", nothing. She never even made eye contact with me. Maybe it was a bad night. I don't know. But this kind of negligent and sloppy service has to change. I loved the food, the drinks, and the ambiance, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. Please make sure this is addressed ASAP. Thank you.
Great dining experience. The staff was very hospitable. Food was great. We were there for a birthday celebration. Suggest as a good appetizer and drinks at bar - the drinks are the best!

An off night at Madrina due to the restaurant's being very busy and resultant gaps in service
Food was excellent! We had the arancini, bread, house salad, and manicotti. Huge portions on the pasta. Restaurant was short staffed so had to wait for table but waitress was apologetic and did her best.
The restaurant is beautiful. Service was fine no issues. The food was mediocre. Everything seemed unseasoned. The arancini needed salt. carpaccio needed more acid. The pollo piccata had the skin on covered with sauce which made it slimy and fatty. The bolognese was very good. The bread service was good, excellent focaccia.
We love Madrina. The downside last night was that it took 35 min to get a cocktail. Our food was great and so was the cocktail once it arrived but 35 min is too long. Hire another bartender for weekend nights!
Delicious food, large portions, good ambience. Server was very attentive. Would definitely go there again
