Had a reservation. 30 minutes of waiting, with empty tables around the host wouldn’t seat us . Was told there are still people ahead of us. Host was very rude wouldn’t give me his name or let me speak to a manager. Don’t understand how they are still in business.
Our waiter was coming off of Adderall and made it a point to let us know with all the frustration. I work a 9-5 too kid, don’t take it out on me

I often question reviews that are overly-glowing and specific, and I found quite a few here to be suspect. I recommend relying on the numerous reviews that it's an ok restaurant. This is considered fine dining, and they charge like it, so I expect something better than Outback. Madrina, if you expect a lot from the customer, the customer should expect a lot from you. For this review, keep in mind that four of us spent over $100 each, so the bang for the buck element must always be present. Four of us went on a slow weeknight and the entire experience was ok, which for the money, is not ok.
First, why so dark? And if you want it that dark Madrina, make the food/wine menu font larger. Most of your clientele doesn't have the eyesight of a 30 yr old. Sure the small table accent light brightness is adjustable, but what are we to do, pass the light around the table so each can read from both menus? And is it fine dining if we must use our phone flashlight? A sommelier was supposedly there, but when didn't see him/her. Rather, the waiter discussed the various wine options. Ok, then why tell us about a sommelier on site?
As for the dining experience, one couple received a bottle of wine immediately, but after 10 minutes of waiting, the other had to ask for the bottle. Again, it was a slow night. Mayfair salad was wilty, but House on the Hill salad was considered a highlight. Mussells alla crema was gritty with little meat, and a cold/watery crema. I thought of getting the hanger steak, but figured since it's an upscale restaurant, I'd spend the extra $20 and get the rib eye for a great steak. My error. I ordered it MR, but it arrived inconsistently cooked (from MR to WD). It was pre-cut, which only cools and dries out the meat. It's not a porterhouse that is shared, but a steak for one. Pre-cut was unnecessary and only made for a worse experience. Polenta was ok, but all enjoyed the pistachio pesto. Halibut and Maiale (pork) were both considered good, but again, you expect better than good.
For dessert we shared cannolis; two got coffees, and one a cocktail. Problem is, nothing arrived at the same time. Cannolis arrived first, then after 10 minutes the two coffees arrived, and then 5 minutes later the cocktail. What a poor closure on what the four of us expected to be a special night of fine dining. Next time won't be Outback, but it also won't be Madrina.

Had a very nice Anniversary dinner as our first meal at Madrina. Our waiter was Ethan and he did a nice job helping us with drinks and the menu. The Black Manhattan and Blood and Smoke cocktails were tasty. Mayfair Salads and the Shrimp Pasta and Braised Pork Gnocchi were also very good. Overall a nice Anniversary dinner!

Took the wife for her Birthday and everything was amazing. John G was our server and the man delivered. Not only with great service, but we went with all of his recommendations! He did recommend the Chefs Special (four course meal) not only was it delicious, but gave us the chance to try menu items we wouldn’t normally order ourselves. Also a shout out to the other members of John’s team who also delivered exceptional service. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service. Besides dinner, I enjoyed Limocello ice Gelato and really good decaf coffee. Decor is lush but relaxed.

The food was bland and over priced. When someone orders Pollo Marsala, they are NOT expecting bone-in pieces of chicken with the sauce tasting like brown gravy instead of marsala. Service was good.

Really wanted to like it. The service was fairly attentive, but very rude and condescending. The food was not nearly good enough for how expensive it was. Cocktails were tasty.

We ate there for the first me last night. Both my husband and I make an effort to try new restaurants but are usually disappointed. Not so with Madrina. It hit a home run on service, ambience and especially food. The menu is ambitious, with a number of innovative takes on classic Italian food. My raviolo, for instance, was fabulous, as was the salad with Mayfair dressing. Kudos to the chef. We'll be back!
The food was delicious. I had the braised beef ravioli special in a beef broth nd tiramisu for desser. Our server was the righ amount of attentive and out of sight. He was also knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations
Excellent restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Our server, Ethan, was exceptional and highly knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. We had the Raviolo and Constata Di Manzo, both of which were outstanding. The wood-grilled oysters and Parmesan-crusted Brussels sprouts were also quite good.
Everything we had here was good and some things were great! We got the oysters and the mushroom flatbread as appetizers. The mushroom flatbread is the best we have had anywhere. So good! I had the veal parmigiana for my entree and it was good. Not great, but a solid 3.5/5. I cannot remember our servers name, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and gave the absolute best suggestions for pairings with our meals. This will likely be added to our regular dinner places.
The food was good, but I was not WOWed by it. I want to be WOWed if i'm paying that much for food. Server was very friendly, and it was definitely a high-end experience.
