Alex & I got the chance to try some of the best bagels we’ve ever had this morning! Super fluffy and chewy with a crisp exterior, toasted to perfection.😋 We called down and placed a quick order to pickup when we had the chance. Whomever was working is super sweet and we’re definitely excited for the next time we need a quick breakfast fix!

Honestly, I don't get this place. I understand it's idea to bring good NYC bagels to West Plains. But at what cost? Their FB page talks about all the support the community have given them, but no one I know has tried their bagels. My wife and I bought a plain single bagel yesterday. Usually when we try a new bagel place we get a dozen of a few types, but at $4 a pop, it's a little out of our price range. It was a good bagel, better toasted. I guess it was NYC style, but I have no understanding of that value since I didn't grow up there. So who is the target audience? Certainly not your typical West Plainsian who can buy 6 or even 12 for the same price at their local grocery place. When we entered, another customer left saying, "I like what you're doing here." Is there another agenda for this bagel spot? Do they support the Avenue Theater since they share the same location? I don't know. They don't advertise community participation or support other than offering a $4 bagel to people who mostly don't understand a NYC bagel at $4. Believe me, I support new places in this town that isn't another Taco Bell. It must be hard to do that, and I admire the risk it takes. I hope they survive the initial difficulty and do some things to attract more customers. I have ideas, generally for every new restaurant I have ideas, but I'm not going to share them as I said in the beginning, I don't get it. Tell the community what your ideas are though, let everyone know your goals and desires. I asked a question to the gentleman who helped me and it was ignored. My question may have seemed hostile I suppose, "Why are your bagels $4?" but hearing a thoughtful answer might have brought me back. Maybe have a small slip of paper to give to people who have the same questions. I care about this community and its growth, I want to know why you do too. I hope you do well.
