El Charro Mexican Restaurant

Visited El Charro with a coworker. We both ordered large margaritas. They came out with sparklers. Hope the server didn't think we were on a date!!! I don't even like him that much, LOL!!. Ordered the Jalisco Special. It was very good.

Food was decent. We waited 20 minutes just to order. Paid 3.4 dollars for a drink and got ice with a sip of soda. The server was a really rude short guy that we never saw the whole time. The only time I got a refill was someone unrelated got me one. The only real positive is once we finally got to order the food came out very fast. Portions were pretty small though so not really worth the price.

Used to be good but service is terrible. No reason for a hostess or server to sigh after ordering each item. No accountability from staff and was told that they have no manager. Considering I'm a chef I find this absurd. If you'd like to find quality Mexican food, head over to San Juaneros near the DMV. There you will find service and atmosphere as important as the food itself.

Not a bad spot at all. Pretty busy for a Thursday night. Met up with some friends that are local while passing through. Will stop again if ever in the area.

Good food, friendly staff, popular and busy restaurant.

I've come here twice now on a Sunday afternoon where it seemed very busy, but they had a seated within 15 minutes and even though we had a table of 10 and the place was very busy. I never once felt like we weren't being taken care of. Food is amazing, especially the birria

The food was mediocre to bad and service was poor. Sopes were listed on the menu as being handmade. They were the kind that come pre-made in a bread sleeve and not as good as I can make at home. The menu also listed beans under the meat. there were no beans on the sopes. The few pieces of steak and carnitas were tiny dried up and hard scraps with no resemblance to meat (maybe unseasoned jerky scraps). The refried beans came right out of a can and the rice had no flavor. We had to ask twice for silverware after the food arrived. My friends were also disappointed with their food and said they will not go there again.

In and out in less than forty minutes. Service was great. Food was great. Hot , full of flavor, and accurate. Good lunch specials.

Very good Mexican food kinda expensive good atmosphere very helpful people

My server spent more time on his phone than he did working. I know because I went looking for him, and caught him.
