Very attentive servers; great $5 cocktail specials; nice protein-to-rice ratio; floor stickiness needs attention.

Food was either store bought or mass produced for dumplings and spring rolls- definitely not made in-house- so those were ok. But the rest of the experience foodwise was severely disappointed. We should've left when the coke was ran down and when replace it was still cream colored in the straw versus dark in color. Our onion soup was bullion cube flavor- not slow cooked with bones/homemade broth. The cali roll in the bento box was WARM!!! EWW!!! melty insides. The teriyaki steak was smothered in sauce that was Luke warm. Steak was chewy and grainy. The fried rice lacked veggies. Definitely won't return. The crab ragoon was runny and more sweet than anything. Perhaps the wrong cream cheese was used. The price was definitely too high for pre-made reheated food.

The West Plains roll is the BEST! I love the sushi here and kiddo love the bento boxes. I've never been disappointed.

The food was awesome, even with the picky eaters in my friend group we all found something to eat.

I very rarely give 5 stars, and if I do it is for an exceptional dining experience. I wish I could give partial stars. I’d give them 4.3. We have been wanting to try this place out for a couple of years. We haven’t because we were skeptics. We were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience.

We had the:

Salmon nigiri
Yellow tail nigiri
Spicy tuna roll
Spicy salmon roll
Snow crab roll
Hang over roll.

All of them were fresh, the texture and flavor of the fish was fantastic, and the rice was just right.

My only complaints would be that the Sapporo was not the freshest, but I’d order it again. And the presentation was lacking a bit. We will be back often.

I also found the prices to be very reasonable for what we got.

We have tried to eat there twice now and months apart, since being under new ownership and it's been bad. I really questioned myself about leaving a "bad" review, but it needs to be said. My husband and I had a late lunch on a Saturday. Ordered four rolls and sashimi. My Mango Tango roll had the tinniest and thinnest slices of tuna I have ever seen! Seriously the pieces of fish were the size of my thumbnail! But the amount of rice in all the rolls was huge! The top of the rolls were even pinched to make a smaller space so the fish toppings looked like more. The sashimi platter came with cooked eel, it's supposed to all be raw fish! Made no sense! The sashimi slices were thin and flimsy. None of the fish was fresh and was close to being too far gone. I'm surprised we didn't get food poisoning. Our waitress was kind and we left her a tip, but the food was gross. We had a hard time eating our meal but was starving. Looking back we should have said something right then and refused it. But we were too hungry so we took a chance and ate it anyways. So glad we didn't get sick. The only thing nice about the place was the updated decor. The place looked good but did not taste good! Won't be back. Big city feel, really? We'd rather and will drive to Springfield for sushi.

I do not recommend this restaurant, what they do to a lobster tail is a crime, you may as well be chewing gum...overcooked, too greasy, and way overpriced for bad food. Bloody Mary was sweet instead of salty, spicy, hot...no salt on rim. I wanted to try them for my birthday, what a disappointment. Overpriced, overcooked food. My friend went with me he had seasame beef and although it was not overcooked, it was bad cuts of meat. I would say stay away...bad food.

Very pleasant experience. The menu items are just a tad pricey for the portions, but overall this place was great. It has a Hibachi available throughout the weekdays during dinnertime, although I didn't get a chance to experience it. Would recommend at least trying it out, something different to try.

Waited over an hour and our sushi was hot because “call in orders” took priority over dine in. Also some of the sushimi was rancid and we sent it back to the chef only for them to say it was fine to serve. New ownership SUCKS!!!!!! waitress was amazing tho!

Update: we ate at about 6:30… by 10:00 I was puking. Which hurt very bad considering I recently had spinal surgery. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!
