Ordered breakfast it arrived cold, asked the waitress to put pancake in microwave for to warm up, it came back hot & hard. I tried to eat the over medium 2 eggs & they had a thick crust on bottom. The coffee was Luke warm. Not very many people at 8:30 a.m tables were not cleaned. The bill came to $28 for 2 people. Should of went to Hardies.

Ordered takeout as I've heard unsavory things about the waitstaff recently. My husband ordered chicken fried chicken with okra and I ordered one of the breakfast combination specials. When my husband went to pick up the order, the woman at the front counter was very rude. We opened the food at home to find that not only did they replace his okra with mashed potatoes, but they gave me my biscuits and gravy without gravy... Husband couldn't even chew the chicken fried chicken. We gave it to the dog who also had a hard time getting it down, even though it was cut into bite size pieces. I don't know what has happened over the years. Skillets used to be one of my favorite places over the years and now I would not recommend anyone eat there. If you want a good breakfast and a good experience, just go to Ozark Cafe instead. They sell the same items at the same price, but you actually get what you are paying for. Plus they're open all day.

This is a top spot in our town known for affordable food/very nice waitresses/Markie is the manager and keeps the ship running tight. Also she hand makes all the pies that you will see in the refrigerator by the register. I highly recommend trying one of her cherry ? pies.

Prior to moving from West Plains this was mine and my husbands standard Sunday morning spot. We made so many memories there all thru out dating and it's still our preferred place when we come to town for a day. The Breakfast is fantastic and the staff is always friendly and inviting.

The veggie omelette here is delicious. Loaded with yummy veggies and just enough cheese. With your choice of potatoes and bread (get the pancakes !)it's a big meal. I usually split it or take half home.This isn't a fancy place but the food is good and the wait staff are nice and helpful.One of my favorite meals is the just a yolk- two eggs your way, choice of potatoes (red skin are the best), choice of bread (get the 2 pancakes!) For less than $8 it's a filling breakfast. You could definitely split with 2 kids or less hungry adults.Vegetarian options: As long as you eat eggs, this place is good.Veggie omelette is awesome with lots of veggies including baby spinach, tomato, peppers, mushrooms.The gravy doesn't have sausage in it!Pancakes are very good . Four kinds of potatoesWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair ramp with 4 handicap spaces.
