This has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but I had a very bad experience today. I stood at the front and waited for a table for 25 minutes before someone finally acknowledged me and told me they were not taking anyone without a reservation. In this time I was passed at least 40 times by wait persons delivering meals with not a word spoken. This was the height of rudeness.

Nothing short of amazing. I’ve been here a number of times. The food is always incredible. As it usually is when the owner is also the chef. Casual atmosphere where no one rushes you or makes you feel like they have to turn the table. Always full though. Love this place!

This is truly a gem of a restaurant. I was passing through Leavenworth on business and wanted to treat myself to a nice meal. Avalon Cafe didn't disappoint! The table service was wonderful - never did my water glass go empty - and the chef was willing to accommodate one of my dietary restrictions when prepping my meal. I was thrilled to have come upon this restaurant and hope to return the next time im in town.

The baguette French toast was the best thing I've ever eaten for breakfast. The bacon was cooked perfectly. Potatoes cooked perfectly. The bread and butter was a nice touch. My wife's salad was super fresh. And the mushroom cream soup was awesome. Thanks for the perfect brunch. We will be back with family the next time we're in.

I had the trout, it was a little dry, but very tasty. I enjoyed my meal and and veggies.
Potatoes and the ice tea were great. The rest of the food tasted like your average frozen dinner.

We love going to Weston, MO. Avalon has become our favorite restaurant. They always have delicious food and great service. Wife had the portobello sandwich, and I had the ham & slaw sandwich, both were excellent!

The burger was really good, but not the best I have ever had.
The soup was 100% what it should be.
The staff was super friendly.

My husband and I had dinner at the Avalon for our wedding anniversary. I had the filet with mashed potatoes & vegetables. My husband had the beef tips & pasta. If you are an adventurous eater this cafe has some very unique dining options (i.e. wild boar, elk strip & ostrich sirloin). The restaurant was busy, but we were able to snag a seat in the bar area and had a delightful time!
