Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My server Shaletha kept the Tea glass full and our lunch was FRESH! We enjoyed our lunch!🥰

The food was great and service was friendly and fast! I shopped in the retail shop while I was waiting on my food and the girls in retail were so helpful and got me all fixed up !! Wonderful experience!!!!

Service was great. Food was hot and fresh. Everything was good Service with a smile.

We arrived and no one was at the hostess desk. Our server waved for us to come in and seated us.
Our server took our order quickly and brought out our drinks, but that’s where the good ends.
Apparently this place hires all the people that are friends and they spend their day just hanging out verses doing a job.
My mom ordered the old timers. (All of her food was cold) My husband ordered the steak and eggs (he did enjoy his and never received a refill on his coffee) I ordered the grandmas breakfast with French toast ( my French toast which we had to wait extra for was only cooked on the side you could see and everything was cold).
We had to retrieve our to go box to go due to the place being more of a hangout than anything else.

Took a very long time for food to come to the table and watched other customers that were seated after recieve thier food way before us. My husband and son’s food came out way before mine so I had to sit and watch them eat half of their food before I recieved mine. Eggs that were supposed to be over easy came out as scrambled but we decided not to complain and eat them anyways. My son’s country fried steak didn’t have the white gravy as he requested so we had to remind the waitress. She was so quick to leave our table that we had to wait to let her know that my side of coleslaw was also missing and that my son’s mashed potatoes tasted off and he couldn’t eat them. He’s a bigger boy and in no way a picky eater and usually would’ve powered through it but my husband even tried them and said something tasted wrong with them. My son said his country fried steak wasn’t pleasant and he ended up not finishing his meal which is very unlike him. Everyone was almost done eating I finally received my other side only to taste it and have to spit it out because it tasted spoiled. As I ate my chicken I noticed the underside of my chicken breast had large pockets of clumped up uncooked breading. We ended up leaving without finishing our food but I still paid and left a tip. Probably won’t be going back to this Cracker Barrel again which sucks because we normally love it.

Okay food server, food quality has gone down over the years. Grits looked dirty, and tasteless, French toast was burnt. I ordered well done eggs, instead of yolks were raw and runny.

I love the Cracker Barrel’s chicken and dumplings! The pot roast is really good too!

Had a party of 8 plus a newborn. Our waitress took forever to bring us anything we asked for/ordered. When our food finally came out, we were all needing refills and she still gave out the food, which half the orders were wrong, and walked off to get sauces and a salad. Was gone for 5 minutes and still didn’t bring out everything. Left for 5 more minutes to bring the rest. We still needed refills. By this point, one of the people with us just went outside cause they were irritated with the service. We finally got refills after asking for the 3rd time. Still missing a couple of sauces and a salad. Finally got all of that by the time food was cold. To make matters worse, 3 other couples came in AFTER we ordered, and they ALL got their food before us. Can definitely say I WILL NOT be back.

The food was fine. Our waitress dismissed my table, she was too busy flirting with the male customers, lucky for us after waiting for 20 minutes another waitress came over and took care of us. I do not like the changes in the atmosphere, too light, hurts the eyes.

The server was rude when asking questions about menu the food took forever coming out once it got out I had upgraded my sides to pancakes asked several times about my pancakes and was told they’re not ready yet had finished the breakfast that made it to the table and then they came out with the pancakes I told her if she could take them back because I had to pay extra for that and I was already done with my breakfast.

Cracker barrel has lost its way. No biscuits, no cornbread. Server was rude. The food took forever and when it arrived its was bland and rushed. Every table was without bread and food. All I heard were excuses the entire time.

We have been going there 3 times a month for 2 years, driving 65 miles one way because we live in rural Mississippi, but today was awful, The meatloaf was raw and didn't eat it, I am a butcher by profession, a 47 year veteran of cutting meat in a supermarket so I know raw ground beef, I told the waitress, nothing was done about it so we left it in the plate. The cashier tried to give me a card for a free appetizer. I told her I wanted lunch not an appetizer, needless to say we want be back, I think this all falls back on management.
