“Joined friends for dinner here recently. Lovely atmosphere, attentive service. While the food was good, I found the menu to be somewhat limited. I greatly enjoyed the savory cheesecake, as did my companions. My Ropa Vieja was a bit dry, unfortunately; more attention to cooking time might be warranted, but the sauce on the dish was outstanding. The cocktails were well-crafted also. I will definitely visit again, because I noticed that there is very inviting exterior seating in the rear courtyard. Nice place to lounge for a drink and a bite.“

Gris Gris oysters were spectacular. Crab swimmers were great and we got tuna special of the day, which didn’t disappoint. If I lived in the Gulf Coast, Fields would Be my “go to”.“

“I wanted to give this place a five star but I just couldn't do it and it's Management's fault. We came for jeepin the coast and visited early on Thursday night. After waiting for our server who was very busy but precious, we were then told half the items we wanted on the menu weren't available because of the event. This poor server had to go to each table and tell them each repeatedly what all they could NOT order instead of management having a special menu printed for people to know. I choose my restaurants based on their menu and we chose this restaurant specifically for certain items on the menu only to be told once we got in and got seated that we couldn't order what we wanted. Had we not already ordered drinks and waited quite a bit we would have moved on. Once again, this is on management and this is a major event that they should have been prepared for. Next time we will probably choose a different location if this isn't addressed.“
