I'm so glad I stopped. The restaurant is a combination of restaurant and also offers some Mexican groceries. Everyone was very friendly and the place was spotlessly clean.I tried a few different things on their menu and while everything was very good, the gorditas and tamal were absolutely phenomenal. I've eaten many of both in different places but these here will stand out in my memory for years to come.Highly recommend.

When we walked in the first time and were the only native English speakers in the place I knew we'd hit a winner. We visited for lunch 3 times over the 9 days we were in Red Bay for motorhome service and it will be a multiple visit go-to next time we're in Red Bay. They only serve food Wed, Thur, Fri, and Sat.I grew up in North Texas, spent a few years in Albuquerque, and we spent a few more years in Mexico City. I know the difference among the varieties of "Mexican" food, and this place is legit Mexico City fare and flavors. The tacos are straight-up Mexico City street tacos (pastor and cachete - cheek - are awesome). The empanadas are different, but very, very good. The menudo was good, but the (off menu) posole was dead on copy of what I used to eat in Mexico City. The torta (sandwich) was awesome with authentic bread. My wife eats a lot of seafood and declared the shrimp soup "memories of Mexico".

The asada empanadas and in particular the el pastor empanadas were very good. The asada was seasoned great, and the shell of the empanadas were made by hand and tasted phenomenal. However the asada empanada paled in comparison to the el pastor (pork cooked with pineapple) plus the handmade shell was the best I’ve ever had. The owner takes great pride in making sure we had enough to eat and were satisfied with our meal. Oh and the beer was very cold on a hot day.

Food was wonderful. BEST El Pastor I’ve ever had. I’m from Southern California so I’ve had some, none as good as here. If back in the area we will definitely go

I only had ice cream on this day but it was very good. Mrs. Patti (the lady who runs the store) is a very sweet and kind woman. She made me feel right at home. My boyfriend is taking me back on another day to try the food and I am sure it will be delicious.

We LoVe this pace and depending on how long we are the area we try to come in once or twice a week.
Great food and great service!
Very nice shop. Very nice staff. Plenty of good items and food.
Best Mexican food in the area!
Young man assembling the bbqs came from the dining area talking with a friend. He was called to the kitchen to make the bbqs but never washed his hands and did not use gloves. He pulled the meat from a container with bare hands and mashed it onto the bun. Good food but don’t like nasty.
