We stopped at Bentonia Bugs while on our way to Dauphin Island, Alabama, and what a hidden gem! Don’t let the exterior fool you—this place is a must-visit. Between the four of us, we had the chicken bites, fried shrimp, catfish, raw oysters, and boiled shrimp, and every bite was fantastic. The flavors and freshness were truly impressive. It’s now a favorite, and we’ll definitely be returning on our next trip. Highly recommend—10/10!

We have dined at Bentonia Bugs from time to time for over 7 years and in years past it HAD been our favorite, BUT regrettably overall this establishment has declined.The quality in the service provided, the Taste (ordered an appetizer, fish basket, & steak- all of which were poor) and the atmosphere were all POOR. The experience being what it was, we were so disappointed we do not wish to return ever. I leave negative reviews only when necessary and appropriate for consumer interests.
