After watching “I am the Blues” we decided to stop by and see this legendary location. We were expecting it to be closed but to our surprise it is still open and this Juke Joint is amazing ! We met Jimmy “The Duck” Holmes and had an amazing conversation with him. We hung out for a few hours just soaking up the atmosphere. It felt like going back home.

Amazing. We stopped to check out the BFC on our trip down the Delta and it was well worth it. Jimmy 'Duck' Holmes is a national treasure and was kind enough to show us the Bentonia style of blues. Not to mention the beer was $1.50!

A focal point for the community - a very laid-back atmosphere, a place to hang out and chat to people where all greet each other.
If you get to also heat Jimmy's music, few blues places can beat the experience.

Kid-friendliness: Kids did not want to leave in the end.

If you’re looking for an authentic Mississippi Blues experience, THIS is the place! The Blue Front is the real deal. Jimmy Duck is as kind and wise as you would hope for a blues legend to be. If you’re interested in history or his style of playing, he’ll tell you all about it. He is the last of his kind. If you are a true musician lover, you’ll feel yourself changed when you leave this place. The whole experience is a baptism of your musical soul. I’m so glad we finally made the trip!

This place is definitely in the top 10 of places that you must visit. If you love blues, this is ground zero. I hold it in higher regard than Graceland. If you're ever near Bentonia, MS., stop by and meet the most genuine man, and the most wonderful waitress you could possibly find.
