I love Salt and Ivy and feel like it's often an overlooked restaurant at the Beau Rivage. They have incredible breakfast and lunch items...and don't forget about dinner too! Aubrey, the manager, is so kind and accommodating, always making sure guest feel welcome. On the weekends, I would suggest making a reservation, however, if you do not have one, the ladies at the host counter always try to get you a table, and even on busy days the wait is never overbearing. I went back I ordered the chicken and waffles. They were fantastic just like the first time. The chicken strips were tender and juicy and the waffle was crisp and fluffy. The service was much better than the first time I went and I ordered a Mocha instead of the OJ this time around.
It was quite busy, but we got sat down rather quickly. Wife loved her French onion soup. Fried green tomatoes were ok. Both our sandwiches were very good. Fries were average.
Waiters were very attentive and checked on us several times. The atmosphere was kind of loud. There were a few large parties that were making noise. Other than that, it was, a pleasant dining experience.
